Default exotic bell star vase

Has anyone ever seen this vase? Any problems with paint coming off. My km came with a shattered vase so i want one of these. It was hard to find anything decent with 2" opening. Any ideas?

It was one of the only options for 2" opening

if you get any flaking, touch it up then just cover it with a bunch of clear coat

sweet, well then just toss a clear coat on it when you get it and worry not.

would you sand at all before you sprayed it? i could see maybe 600-1000 grit just to make sure it takes but idk how glass will like that

yeah, i dunno about putting clearcoat on glass, For cars the panels must be scuffed first. I am trying to do research on it now.

hand wash it w/a soft cloth. unless you plan on traveling w/it, how much abuse could you really put it through? My point is, be careful and it shouldn't chip, really.

ill try to ask my glass instructor tomorrow,

another option would be to get that clear heat shrink and apply that, not sure how it would look though but it would hold up well probably and it would make the painting look a little more like it was fused into the glass

they make like heat shrink bags to make gift baskets with, not sure how strong it is but i bet if you look at a plastic supplier (there are places that sell every industrial, medical, food service, etc thing you could ever need that was made from plastic) id bet they would have it

and if all else fails JFGI

interesting...did a quick google search on it, don't know how well that would work as a protector from scratches...maybe if you put a few layers, would be cool if it worked tho

ya idk either, i think a clear coat would be better but getting it to stick might be hard, or at least getting it to take and stay for a while might be hard
