Default Syrian Vase Grommets

I've found a common problem with all four of my Syrian hookahs (including my Nour) -- the vase grommets suck, and replacements that fit are impossible to find.

I tried this one:
http://saharasmoke.com/store/catalog...t-p-16170.html
(too big)

And this one:
http://saharasmoke.com/store/catalog...t-p-16836.html
(too small)

Does anyone have a reliable source for quality grommets that fit Syrians (realizing that all stems and vases differ). BTW - I know that I *could* use paper towels, or duct tape, or bubble gum or some other MacGyver shit, but this isn't a smoking emergency, I'm looking for a longer term solution.

Alternatively, I'm thinking I could probably just sand down the black egyptian-style grommet a little bit. Has anyone done this? Wet? Dry? Tips appreciated.

These are the grommets I use on both my Syrians. Not from this vendor but this is the only one I could find to show an example.

Whoops, sorry didn't know this vendor was banned. PMing you the info.

I had the same problem with my syrian nour. So, I resolved the problem by sanding down one of the black rubber grommets. It too me awhile to do this, and I eventually wound up buying a dremel sander to sand it down. But now I have a perfect fit. It has made me appreciate my syrian nour even more because of the time I took to make it work for me.

MYA makes a nice little silicone grommet that is meant to counteract leakiness.

They are a little pricey but totally worth it. I use it on my nour.

I use this one on my Syrian. It was a little bit big, but i have cut some of the outer rings and now it works well for me.

I can never order grommets online, I have to take the hookah to the shop to make sure it fits both stem and base. Electric tape is also a good idea
