** Hookah Pro Rules - Request to read the thread! **

A new feature has been added that will require all current Members and all new Members to read the "RULES of the Hookah Pro Community"

I have already received a PM from a Member saying "sorry" thinking they had done something wrong. I just want you all to know that nobody has done anything wrong and you are NOT being singled out with this request. It is a default action and part of the code and will be required by everyone. I even had to read the thread

The reasons for this implementation are:

1. To help new Members to learn the rules before they even start to post!
2. To minimize spammers, this should confuse the spam bots for a little while.

Just wanted you all to know that nobody is in trouble and this is just a new feature that has been added to improve our community and hopefully minimize spammers.

Haha i just joined up and thought i made a mistake already. Lol. Thanks for clearing up the confusion. And i think it would be beneficial to put a CAPTCHA for login, Myspace did that for a bit to clear some out.

We've got some stuff in place now *knock on wood* all appears to be quiet concerning spam sandwiches!

I don't think it would be good, to always write capcha codes when someone wants to add a comment. I think the easiest solution is to use capcha or any other ways at registering, and than because only registered members can add a comment, no spam bots get in, in my opinion

The spam bots got around the image validation for creating new user accounts. It also automatically accepts registration email .. and then comes in and spams! They got very smart ..

SO, what we have in place, is a question during registration that must be answered correctly. We also have the "rules thread" it throws off their automatic program. We work hard to quickly resolve any issues that arise. I think we do a pretty good job here no spam since implementations have been made with these new methods to distract spambots.

One wonders what these characters would be capable of if they ever went out and got a real f*#%$&g job.

I wish I knew of a way to screw with them the way some people screw with the Nigerian email scammers.

I just joined as of right now and found the idea to be great. New people tend to glide by the rules sometimes and therefore are unaware of the wrong action. This helps avoid it, leading to a more organized forum.

EDIT - And I just found out I have the same bloody avatar as an existing member.
