CH ql's are the best overall coals. Easy to light, no taste, and last a good while.

I agree with skyline. CH coals are not nearly as challenging as lighting CCN's and they last about the same.

CH coals will definitely light easier but they ash way too much for me.

ya even with a nice hot benzomatic mapp gas torch cocos are not easy to light. i broke down and got a hot plate and never have looked back. i havent gotten to use johns coals and since i have 4 boxes of cocos i wont be for a while but i have heard a lot of great things about them but the cocos are still great coals, at first i thought they were very over rated but after i figured out the little nuances of them i love them

Yea your best bet to get cocos to light is to just get a portable electric stove or if you allready have one in your kitchen use that.. they are decent coals dont last any longer then normal qls. they do have a horrible smell when lighting but goes away once fully lit and they dont put any bad taste in your smoke so overall cocos are decent..
