Default Question about screens?

Ok so I have heard that there are problems with using a screen as opposed to say foil. Many of them have too many holes or poor placement or whatever. This one you say provides a nice smoke time and again. We were figuring on just using foil because of what we had read. I liked the idea of the screen but can see how it would be hard to get one that is just right.

My question is this one provides a good smoke and is made to work with Shisha and work well? It sounds like just what I want.

Ah this one was pulled from the glass MHN screen thread in the reviews. Kind of wondered if that wasn't the wrong place for that. Anyway. I have hear bad things about screens as opposed to foil but this one was getting rave reviews so I am just wondering how you would choose a good one.

foil foil foil foil! i have no experience with glass screens- but the metal screens just have too big of holes in my opinion- i tried one twice and burnt the bowl within 10-15 minutes. im a foil fella.

Now see that is more like what I was hearing. I like the idea of them but everything I read was more like this. Too many or too large a hole. I hate having to wait 2 months to get my hands on this thing.

uh, you don't even need reynolds, generic supermarket brand works amazing.

The other issue with screens... very simple. When you take off the foil from your bowl, when you're done smoking that is, what do you see?
Lots of burnt tobacco stuck to the foil.
Now, imagine that the foil was a screen....
Yeah, burnt tobacco stuck to the screen, its annoying as hell to get all the char off the bottom of them. Its not expensive to use foil, and it takes 5 more seconds to prepare, but you don't spend an hour cleaning the screen and getting a good fit on the bowl when smoking.

Foil is friend.

youre not smoking your tobacco right if there is burnt tobacco stuck to the bottom of the foil. thats burning the tobacco releasing many carcinogens. you want to cook or bake the tobacco. thats the point of hookah.

I have a glass "screen" from MNH it works great, just takes a bit longer to heat up. single hole in the center w/ a little lip, so no ash filtering down on your sheesha. Check with Ramsey, Tarik, or Scott from MNH. Mine fits my custom jet glass phunnel, but i'm not sure if they fit other bowls well or not. I'm sure they'll steer you in the right direction, though!
