Default Saloum

Picked up some saloum from a local store today. Being that Ive never smoked it, I asked the shopkeeper about smoking it. He said open it up and smoke it as you would any other shisha. Ive heard that this is not true however. Some things Ive heard is use no foil, coals go directly on tobacco, and glycerin needs to be added before smoking. Basically how do i pack/smoke this stuff. Box says Moassel Saloum and nothing else in english.

You still use foil. You should moisten it with a 50/50 blend of Vegetable glycerine and honey.

Where would I get vegatable glycerin, and about how much of each would I add to 250g?

products such as this are sometimes smoked w/out foil by the old timers in the mid-east but it makes for a pretty rough ride.I would suggest using the methods in the threads listed above. Plain salloum is good stuff but may not be enjoyed by many fans of contemporary moassel.

it tastes quite nice w/o glycerin or honey, but for your own sake, use some foil and save your lungs a bit.

As for the arabic on it, don't worry, it just says stuff like, its tasty, excellent ingredients, made by salloum bro's in Alexandria, and i think although i'm having trouble seeing it, it says its the world's brand.
