Talking A Smoking Rabbit!

A Rabbit who loves shisha...she actually licks the pipe and sits on my chest to breathe in the smoke i breathe out... same thing with my girlfriend...she actually seems to get "stoned" in a way and sways left right and center...chills and falls asleep... i just found it quite amusing but am a little worried it might be...well deadly or something for her small lungs...anybody else have a similar experience?

I think it's pretty funny/awesome, even if it's a lil' rabbit. Smoke on, critter!

We have rats but they have severely delicate respiratory systems so that would be bad.

I don't have pictures, but a friend's dog liked biting on plastic water bottles, so one time i filled one up w/ smoke and gave her the bottle, she bit it and was confused at first, but she seemed to like the taste lol.

That's probably the best idea - as you point out, bunnies have tiny little lungs and there's no telling what could be going on. After all, cats will lick up puddles of anti-freeze because they think it tastes good, but it's only because they just don't know any better. It could be the same way with pets and shisha smoke - they like the flavor, but don't know if it's good or bad for them.

The only article I could find about smoke and pets is about cigarette smoke, but it suggests it might not be especially good for them:

I would edit that post and take out the NHT reference.

But that is awesome. One of my friends brought tiny animals over everytime she smoked with us. Kitten, puppy, hamster, rabbit mostly.

Yes i suppose that with moderation its ok, one or two blows wontkill her but nevertheless u get quite attached to thes little pests and u dont really want to take any risks...

If the little bunny likes some shisha smoke and happens to catch a breath of it every so often, i wouldn't think much of it. But i wouldn't, ya know... do that every time i smoked and risk any health problems from it with them. Pretty cool story though. I have two teacup yorkies and they hate hookah smoke, haha.

I've got a 60lb dog, she flips out every time we smoke though... I'm thinking she instinctively thinks there's a fire or something? Not quite sure. I've been trying to train her to smoke hookah with myself and my friends/girlfriend. ;( (IN MODERATION -- of course)

That rabbit is as cute as a button!

I had a hedgehog long before I had a hookah else I would have probably tried the like III_3_TDS_3_III.

Apparently blowing smoke at your pets is an age-old pastime.

My cat looks at me offended when I blow smoke at him. He used to hide when I would smoke but not anymore.

We have a golden retriever at the fraternity house that is a hookah fiend. When ever you are smoking, he runs up and puts his face in yours to get some of the smoke. He loves it. it may be because his taste buds are an ungodly amount more sensitive than ours are. If only....

He's a yellow lab Binsky
But he actually sits in the circle next to his owner and waits for his turn in the rotation most of the time!

The dog and the rats all lick the flavor off my hands and the rats were all trying to dig the flavor out of my beard. So they at least like the smell of it.
