Unhappy Blocked gasket

I have a large hookah at home that has three hoses. Recently, I tried to use it and found that the gasket is completely blocked and none of the openings for any of the three hoses works.

Is it possible to clean it? How?

run water through it and run a brush through it. I don't know what could be blocking the hose ports but try that out.

You might have ball bearings where the hoses go. My chinese 2 hose does. Unscrew the hose adapter and see if you do, that might be what is clogging it

Nah can't see into the hose ports. I can't seem to unscrew them either - everything in the gasket is welded together.

Water won't run through the hose ports either at all. I've also tried sucking on them hard to dislodge whatever's in there - that worked for minor blockages in the past but these won't unclog.

Is there anything else I could try?

run hot water in the hose ports and then stab the ball bearing in there with your hookah poker or something....the ball bearings gunk up and lock to the hoseport.....one of the main reasons multi hose hookahs blow, plus ball bearings also restrict airflow.

my hookah does the same thing. It has four hoses. The ball bearings tend to get rusted and will not move smoothly or in my case not moving at all. The only thing is to remove the bearings because the same thing will keep happening even if u clean them. Or buy another stem with three ports.

if its rust that is causing it, go the drug store and get a thing of oil of winter green and put a drop down each hose port, give it a few mins and it should come right out then wash it well.

if that doesnt break up any rust that is holding it together then your rig is trash probably

If you want to keep bearings in a hookah like that my recommendation(once you clean it out) is to remove the metal ball bearings, and put plastic airsoft BB's in there instead. They won't rust, and they're lighter so it takes less suction to get them moving.

you should be able to get oil of wintergreen at a pharmacy or where ever you can get glycerine there. as to what it is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Methyl_salicylate

its the main ingredient in rust busters like PB blaster, just works better since just the concentration of the thing that does the work
