that should work fine i actually got a single plate burner from walmart might be the same one.. it works fine only thing is that it takes a little longer to cook, so some times i take a lighter to the corner of the coals just to get them started.. other then that it works just fine..

hey, if you can find a coil burner, they work a lot better.

I had an issue w/ the flat top one I had, the heat would dissipate and the coals took longer to burn. I went to walgreens and found a burner for half the price, and it was just the simple coil burner, its perfect. less than 10 bucks, and heats the coals in like 3 minutes.

I had a burner I bought from target made my aroma. Took about 10 minutes to light exoticas and 20 to light coconaras. Pretty bad, so I just went back to my gas stove. Coil stoves are probably the best, or a torch even.

Just to make sure the message really gets across I figured I'd chime in as well. I had a flatplate like that, and it's terrible. Go with a coil burner, it's soo much better.

to make the coals light on the flat-plate, i had to put a can around the coals on the plate, and put a fan that forced air onto the coals, it took forever!!

Also if you use a glass cooktop it will ruin the finish. I found out the hard way. Eeks!
