Default Tangiers HELP

Hello all, how are you all doing this great day,

Ihave been smoking for about 1and 1/2 years now and have pretty much stuck to laylina, fumari, and SB , with a little Hookah-Hookah thrown in the mix there. But today I have Purchased 100g's of Tangiers *lucid* Brambelberry.A very first for me. I need a little advice on it, acclimating?,packing and coal setup.

Any advice/suggestions is much appreciated

i just got it myself.

Open the bag, let it air out for several several hours, I live in a desert right now, so i had to do it a long while.

For me it burns really really easy, but i still use 2 coals.

as for packing, i followed the instructions on the package. You can actually pack this stuff in and get good airflow.

Not everyone packs the bowl till it's firm. Just learn to pack it so that it smokes best for you. Here is a link to a very good article on it. Read about halfway down the page. I use a similar method to this and it works just fine.

you're smoking lucid? there's no need to acclimate or pack it like tangiers noir. i've smoked a few lucid flavors in a phunnel without using the normal tangiers method and it worked fine.

you can smoke the lucid line from any bowl. certain lucid flavors aren't as strong as the regular line. take a look at the review section.

you should really invest in a phunnel. and when u pack it u should really pack it down and make sure not to underpack it.

Yes one last question What size phunnel we talkin i was considering the medium for my 22" incher but stickin with the standard Mya for my Genie! or should i get 2 a small for the genie and medium for the NoBrand 22. Now I made a little Foil Vortex liner for my mya when i smoked the tangiers and it was fantastic but just not very smoky. I had split a 3King in 3 pieces and put those on but still not very smoky. Perhaps I should goto Natural Coals CocoNara is what im thinking of rollin with, courtsey of John from Guess here in the Windy City. Sorry i realize im blabblin but Ever snce i Started smokin I just used a standard Mya bowl and stuck to mostly Laylina and SB, but i feel its time to broaden the plain here, Thank you all for all your input and i appreciate it quite a bit.

If you let the Tangiers air out for a couple of hours, then pack it mildy (not really thick, not fluffed) and poke lots of holes, then manage the heat carefully, it'll be fine.

Tangiers is picky, but it's not hard to taste when you need to move the heat around.

The main thing is not to open the bag and just start smoking.

Again folks it's Lucid. I have never acclimated Lucid. Pack your bowl they way you do with all the other brands you usually smoke. Some flavors are decent and some are nothing special. Cocoa, Peach Iced Tea and Passionfruit were pretty good. Classic Raspberry was flavorless, Brambleberry was pretty blah and Horchata was mostly strong cinnamon, so it should be named cinnamon not Horchata.

I dont really use Tangiers, seems way too sticky to me, and I always seem to get huge leaves and stems in the tobacco. But when you do use it, defiantly air it out after opening.
