DRUG TESTS!!!?

I know this is probably stupid. But I am studying to be in the medical field. I shouldn't be smoking anyway but I can't help it. I do occasionally like to smoke my hookah. But I was wondering...... I am supposed to do a routine drug test to work in the hospitals. Do you think that anything negative will become of my drug test if I smoke hookah? Does it matter at all?

I guess that would depend on what you mix with your shisha. Shisha is just tobacco, molasses/honey and flavoring with glycerin.

Good question it gets asked a lot when I bring out my hookah for new people .. but no, tobacco is not something that will show up as a negative during a drug test. You are free to smoke your hookah without worry

tobacco is legal,

drug tests are inaccurate, poppy seeds (the base that opiates are made from, but by them selves are nothing) will give a false positive, and the opiate tests have a 50/50 false negative as seen on mythbusters. also nicotine is kicked out of your body in about 45 mins IIRC so the nicotine should not show up even if it was tested for

Smoking tobacco is fine. Smoke anything illegal and you will be in trouble.

i went with a bunch of religious methodists to the beach once, and some of them loved my hookah, even a pastor.

the best part is we're sitting on the beach and people come by giving us weird looks, thinking wow i cant believe theyre just doing that in the open...

So i can understand where youre coming from if you're new to it, the culture of this country is more used to seeing tobacco smoked in other ways.

But like everyone said, youre good, trust me, I get tested regularly because of my job.

.. COME on guys/galz ... keep it to JUST tobacco, you all know the rules! We left this up because we feel it is a question/concern with a lot of new hookah smokers! I hear this question EVERYTIME I setup my hookah and new people are around ..

hookah-D it is fine, you can smoke hookah and pass a drug test, it is just tobacco. Think about it, the tobacco/coals you buy are from a store. They wouldn't be able to sell anything illegal.
