Default Lebanese cedar

I recently came across a flavor from Sultan called "Lebanese cedar". Has anyone tried this and should I assume it tastes like smoking an old picket fence?

I actually hear that it is very good. An odd flavor, but not like you are smoking a cedar cooking plank. I have never had the guts to try it myself unfortunately, but I bet Hajo will come up in a while. Mellow cedar flavor, not in your face. It might be good... but I would imagine it would make your hookahs smell like cedar.

I saw something about it somewhere, I'll see if I can find it.

Here it is. http://www.onestophookah.com/index.p...7452675f7d6710

It's alright. The better cedar flavours are made by Havana, Crystal and Mouj Al Bahr and supposedly Al Fakhur (the Iranian company) makes a great Lebanese Cedar but i've never seen and i've been looking for a while. The truth is that it's an odd flavour and I doubt that most of you guys would like it and i'd suggest mixing it unless you like woodsy type stuff.

I am big fan of American style Spruce ale & soda and i've used spuce essense to make a homemade moassel that I liked but it hasn't gone over to well with other unless I mix it with something.

Have you seen the Havana Tropical flavors? I don't know if they are available in the US but my friend who's exchanging in Europe was telling me about them, said they were top notch.

Don't mean to thread jack.

AR, I've seen that about 4-5 years ago and had to try it, just based on the name. I never bought it again, although I would like to try it again now. I have seen that brand anywhere and thought they were out of business. Where did you find it and were there any dates on it?

Abu Samra is pretty good. I think that Havana is a really good brand and way under rated. Never tried the tropical stuff as it's not my sort of thing.

i would expect the tobacco is aged in cedar maybe, like cigars, it adds flavor but i would expect it to not be over powering

This sounds awesome. I am a big fan of true traditional smoking. Huge cigar fan and cedar is a wonderful flavor to me. Stripped cedar bark and a lot of other barks were used in traditional non-tobacco smoking blends to add body and complexity. And no I am not talking about that kind of NHT...
