Default First KM experience

i was at my buddies house who just got a new one so i was all excited to smoke it thinking it was going to be awesome and so much better than a normal hookah, however i was very disappointed i mean it was alright but nothing short of a normal smoke, why does everyone talk these up so much i would much rather go buy a 50$ hookah from a local shop then spend money ordering one of these

am i wrong here or did i miss something

What went wrong in your section I thought it doesn't matter what kind of hookah you own, as long as it hits SUPER good then its fine.

When you buy a KM it's for several reasons. First, handmade meaning craftsmanship. Second, stainless steel meaning longevity. And last the draw, KM is known for huge draw. Sadly a majority of the KM's available now are going for as much as a good Syrian which is too high honestly. But that's the market, more money for copper etc etc. I have two KM's and use them almost never. I have two Syrians and use them even less. My daily pipe is one that cost less than $50 and works perfectly.

KMs are known for there craftsmanship as stated, they have character because of their unique handmade hookahs. They have great draw and purge as well, but at the end of the day, it matters on your setup, how you pack the shisha, foil, charcoal/heat management, type of bowl, hose, etc. What was your friend's setup?

I suppose its a matter of taste.

I think most modern hookahs look like pieces of garbage; and I find KMs to be beautiful works of art.

KMs are actually very solid rigs, just like Syrians, they smoke well and have character and are very functional, sure, it may not be for everyone, there are different hookahs for different tastes, but KM vases are not cheap, authentic KM vases are hand painted and have gorgeous designs and colors, but to each their own.

There is "nothing special" in the KM's. I mean, in my opinion people prefer them over standard egyptians, that it has a name, and u can be sure, that if u buy a KM, u will get a nice rig, with easy draws, etc. A noname egyptian rig can be as good as a KM, but to buy one online is risky. If u can see it in person, it's easier, but most of the people buy their hookah online. So it's much safer to buy something, that has a good quality and everyone likes it.

go smoke a KM with a RAZAN hose and a good set up then come back and talk about your experience. you will feel like this whole time you cheated your self when you smoked out of a different hookah. once you go KM W/ RAZAN U NEVER GO BACK LOL

I have to agree with the KM/Razan combo.. However, the KM hoses aren't too bad either. Both have large diameter and easy draw.

KM hoses are good, but the only downside in my opinion is the fact that they aren't washable. You should try a setup again, mess around with water levels, heat management, etc. see what you get. Good luck!

i love my km i bought it like 8 months ago and havent looked back yet its a beast at 42'' tall and hits like a champ everytime. Add it with a razan hose and medium phunell bowl with your favorite smoke and some nice natural coals nothing can beat it.

imo

I can't wait to do a review of my KM! although you can't buy it anymore
I love her dearly! Her name is Eileen! cuz she leans a little to the side lol .. huskysibe helped me come up with that name! Thanks again Husky!

Check the water level, should be to the roundest part of the bell in the bottom of the stem. about 1/2" up. Check for air leaks. Plug the top of the stem with your finger and inhale the hose to see if there is any leaks.
