On the specific pages he linked, the only inappropriate link or reference I saw in my quick glance was one word.

And to his defense, one of my friends who is an avid tobacco ONLY smoker, loves to smoke her blends out of various glassware generally associated with other things.

But it was a breach of forum rules, and he payed the consequences. Sucks for him...

You dont want to know the price on them. They usually run into the thousands of dollars. You would have to call them for prices.

the gasmask should not be used w/ one.
they actually attempt to modernize the traditional, with class

yes not traditional at all, however their marketing goal was to update what was considered class, (the traditional) with an elegant look. I mean its not like the other hookah glassware on the market.

i would love to check one out up close, it does look like very well fabricated items and i want to know how the stuff is made (it looks hand blown but then there are parts that look so clean but not cast or mould blown so idk if they are glued in later or what. but if its all hand done (which i assume it is) i under stand why they are expensive, and your not just paying for a hookah your paying for a piece of art

You could just find someone that blows glass to make you one, ive recently been in touch with a local artisan and he said he could possibly make one like that for around 300$, or spend the money on a better egyptian or sryian number

that is probably a pretty decent price too. glass blowers have to pay 30 bucks an hour to have studio time (unless they build a studio for them selves at 100K-500k) and then pay an assistant 200 bucks a day (you cannot blow glass alone, its just not possible with the way you have to work). clear glass that is the raw batch or cullet that is melted that we use to blow is 1 buck a pound at least and then color, heh, well color is 25-90 for a kilo of color glass, you dont need a lot to color something but its still really expensive... not to mention that you also need 2-5000 bucks in tools. (i toss this info out there to show how expensive it is to blow glass to start with so that everyone can appreciate the cost of handblown glass)

honestly i would probably go with the local artist to make one over medusa, or just blow it my self once i can make things that big, and it will be a one off instead of a production thing.

I have seen narghiles that use crystal stems but they are very expensive and I am a bit concerned about durability. I do have a Syrian narghile with a crystal stem but a brass core mainstem runs though it. It's a hassle to clean but it works great in all other respects.

True, although some people may prefer the Egyptian style, or Syrian or Modern, some still do appreciate the Medusa, I am one of those as well, it just looks so clean and sleek...

dude glass is sturdy, people always see it as such a weak material but i promise you it is extremely strong, think how many times youve seen plates get dropped and not break, or stuff hitting windows and the windows not getting cracked.

ya you dont want to drop it but knocking it over will probably do less damage to a fully glass item than a metal item (glass has a lot of flex and has no deflection when the load/force is released, given once it reaches its max its breaks but on a metal piece you would probably have a large dent)

sorry for the rant but its just one of of those things people assume that gets annoying to me

It really depends on the components are in the glass...aluminum oxides and such...and what sort of heat treating/etc has been done to the glass. Like...bulletproof glass.
