Default Starlight Coconut Charcoals

Curious to know if anyone has ever used them and what were your thoughts. ( Not found in review section)

Wow; I was actually just wondering this. The local store has these as their only natural coals, and I was thinking of picking some up. There's only one review in the review section, and it's not very positive.

Well to be honest i already tried them and theyre horrible. i just wanted to know if i was alone on this...But theyre dirt cheap, at my local store they sell a box for 1$ so u got nothing to lose if you wanna try them out. Go for it...
I guess ill post a review on them too to be abit more specific

EDIT : http://www.hookahpro.com/forum/showt...php?t=8&page=3 Link with review

I actually like these coals. They are not that far away from Coco nara. Only diffrence I see is they ash a little more. Plus you cant really beat the price. I think I paid $5 for a box of 72 pieces.

that is a good price! and if you get them fully lit, they should be good to go! I have never had a problem with coconut coals (I like them a lot!) They do smell sometimes when lighting, but once lit coconut doesn't put off odor/taste.

Cheers!

there is a huge difference between the quick lights (round disk) and the coconut ones. try them.

Decent enough for the money. They light in a reasonable amount of time and heat the tobacco without any odor/flavor. Can't ask for much more than that.

They're not anywhere near as good as coconaras, but they're not anywhere near the price either.

These are my standard coals. Quick lighting on a coil burner, they last a good hour. Downsides? They make massive ash, and occasionally they break into two pieces when you knock them against the ash tray. However, they are consistently sized, consistent burn time from cube to cube, and they don't add ANY taste to the shisha.
