nakhla is a fairly dry tobacco. you might need some glycerine or honey in there to moisten it up.

Dry shisha produces harsh smoke because it burns faster than moist shisha. Especially with Nakhla, I like to pour the shisha into a sealable container and then mix it around before smoking. Due to gravity, the honey/mollasses/corn syrup/glycerin makes it's way to the bottom of the container, so by mixing from the bottom up, you re-moisten any dry tobacco leaves and ensure a controlled burn with minimal harshness.

Strawberry is one of my favorite flavors. Makes my room smell great, lol!

All i smoke is Naklha, and ive only ever encountered this problem with the strawberry. I definately suggest putting it in a container and mixing it up, but also watch your heat and bowl pack. I tend to not break it up as thoroughly, and also am very careful not to overpack to bowl. Also, dont go for big clouds with this flavor- heat management is key. I also find that once the tobacco has gotten harsh, thats the end of the bowl- it cant be revived.

If you use smaller coals and work your way around the rim of the bowl, you maximize your shisha's longevity. Once a spot gets too harsh, move the coal and purge the harsh smoke. It should get better the farther you get from the burnt side, so if you move the coal directly across to the other side of the bowl, you should be the safest, but then your next two coal moves will be teetering on burnt shisha, but by the time you have to move the coal a third time, you've already been smoking for about 30 to 45 minutes

Dude that is one of my two most smoked tobaccos. One 33mm 3 Kings coal about every 45 minutes and you shouldn't have that problem if the tobacco isn't touching the foil. Do not over pack and move the coals around a little.

Nakhla strawberry is one of the worst Nakhla flavors. I hate it. I have 250g minus one bowl to trade if you would love to.

nakhla strawberry is my favorite strawberry. i only buy it in the jar though. i would recommend acclimating a little bit (setting it out spread out on some foil or something) because it's drier and unwashed, this tends to help significantly. i also pack it a little less 'loose' than other washed tobaccos - that's what it needs.
