Sounds weird to me. There should be a nice berry taste with a cold feeling left after exhale from the mintyness. I use two ql's on a large bowl one on a small. Try makin sure the bowl is loosely packed with less than u normally use and see what happens

+1 to dunkel and Husky.
i would never justily $20 for something worst than something i can get for $6-7.
i would also suggest a switch to Nakhla.
The lightest Nakha line (sweeter and smoother) is El Nakhla
Check here what flavours go under El Nakhla

These are also (usually) wetter than other lines so heat managment will be easier for a starter.

Chill out dude, he didnt know your credentials. Most newbies make these types of posts so he safely assumed you were new. How was he supposed to know you were a 2 year veteran?

This stuff is ridiculously sweet, if you can't taste the sweet and only the mint it is either a cleanliness problem or a coal problem.

Am sorry mate, i assumed that you are new to narguile because
1) you were smoking Starbuzz
2) having probs identifying flavours and not being sure from what that it coming
3)small details like using QLs and such

I dont know your background or how skilled you are at Narguile. It was just an assumption which prooved to be wrong.
again i appologize

Heat Management, the more coal or the hotter it is for Starbuzz and most sticky shisha the more heat you need to bring out the flavor of it. I would switch to Nats, makes your smoke sessions enjoyable.

Im not gonna lie here.. Ive found my quicklights to be a tad better at getting the flavor out of my starbuzz, however Ive only tried one natural coal brand so thats really not a good arguement.. also I used to smoke nakhla at the lounges and nowawadays I have my own and greatly prefer starbuzz (and something i recently tried, hookah freak) so I wouldnt consider that just a newbie thing..

Mix the shisha as much as you can, so it's evenly juicy and use nats

I believe you will apprieciate nakhla again in a few years like all of us.
I started with Nakhla, i tried and loved everything else (AF, Starbuzz, Al ajamy etc) But now after a couple of years am here again praising nakhla

def use natual coals... but i just got a kilo a starbuzz blue mist (i sell this more so than almost anything else) and the trick I have found, and someone mentioned it, was heat! if u use only one QL it really one work... if you use 2 33mm Kings or Miraculum (I use mya standard bowls) it will make the smoke and flavor come out better.... if you but it in a tangiers bowl... well lol u just have to experiment. o nakhla is a good product but it is in no way inferior to starbuzz both are a good shisha and yes nakhla is cheap and starbuzz is expensive but what the hell lol try everything u can!

Get some exoticas or natural finger charcoals (abu alabad is the brand of natrual fingers i use) and do u have a lounge or ur own hookah? I have a lounge it would be nice to see other lounge owners on here(as long as ur not my local comp! lol)
