Root Beer vodka is really awesome. It works with bailey's for a bite or cream soda or vanilla vodka for a root beer float. I just usually mix it with quinine for the most flavour.

And yeah, I really strangely have a love affair with the hobohookah. I smoked quite a few bowls out of it last night and it just... works. Though like I said in the review I wish you could adjust the stem length for it to fit in smaller bottles but like The Witch, the smallness of it probably gives you a crappy smoke, but regardless I like the hobohookah. I've got to rummage through my old bottles (I save old liquor bottles because I import a lot of rare stuff) and see what I can bring life back to.

From the site, this is what it comes with, plus tongs (though my hose was black):

The also appear to have a 30 day moneyback guarentee - the first I've ever seen for a hookah. I'd encourage anyone on the fence to jump for one just for that alone incase syou don't like it.

Just got an email from one of the hobohookah guys:

Quote:
TJ,

Thanks for the love and glad you're liking the Hobo! It is great when people share their thoughts online - helps us improve and helps people determine if this wild cat of a hookah is right for them.

We are working on incorporating an exhaust into our next model - this is by far the most requested feature and not including it was admittedly a poor choice on our part. HoboHookah 2.0 is hopefully coming out sometime this year, along with a basic model as well so we can better compete with the cheaper part of the market.

Thanks again and definitely let me know if you put out more videos.

Mike
Looks like good news on all parts!

Oh hey, I got featured on their blog with a shout to HP, too: http://hobohookah.com/blog/ ecred++

Purge valve since there isn't one on the current Hobo.

The top part is small enough to throw a tray around with ease if you need to.

The price I find is a premium for getting a product that's American made by a small company. All the parts are custom for it, down to the rubber. The Witch for instance is hobbled together from existing hookahs and it really shows in the poor craftsmanship. IMO I'm willing to pay more for something to support a small company, espically when you can talk to the designers personally and your input goes toward improving their product.

The tray from a MYA QT works fine with it. I have one of these and I bring it to parties. I received the hobohookah as a gift 2 Christmas's ago. It was the stand alone package for $30.00. I am currently using it with a large Cuervo bottle.

The hobo would look sick on a bottle of Gailliano. I guess my next mission is to binge on Harvey Wallbangers to make it so!

My next hobo hookah bottle a large Beefeater Gin. The bottle has a metal ring around the top that spins... I am thinking I just might make a rotating hobohookah out of it.
