Default Distinct flavor...

Ive only tried 5 HH flavors so far but every one ive had has a distinct flavor that I can taste behind the primary flavor. I cant really explain it. Does anyone else encounter this?

Well, Hookah Freak is made from different combinations of HH. So some HH flavors are probably mixes of older more original flavors like vanilla, strawberry....and they use some of those to make a different, but still solid flavor, kinda.

I've noticed the same thing, but it usually happens more if the shisha is drier. I use golden coals and akhla coals, so I don't think that's what's causing it. It might just be the taste of the tobacco taste coming through like they said.

They use honey instead of molasses which may have something to do with it.

I know EXACTLY what you're talking about. It's not a tobacco taste or coal taste or anything not working properly, it's just the overall taste and feel of that brand of tobacco, it's like a signature taste so if, say, you were smoking out of someone elses hookah and you didn't know what brand, you would be able to tell just from the specific taste that it gives out. I know what you mean and I always have the hardest damn time trying to explain it to people

All the brands I smoke have that, I can tell if I'm smoking AF or HH or Layalina (have most experience with) they all just have their own trademark taste/feel.

i agree, there are differences with brands, tangiers has a natural and full taste, even the lucid has a pretty full taste, nakhla has a lighter than tangiers but has a distinct taste especially while warming up, af just has kind of a candy/chemical/creamy taste to a lot of the flavors, SB is hard to nail down what it is but it has a taste

Nearly every modern hookah tobacco uses honey instead of molasses. I'm fairly sure that it is a tobacco taste. I think it's due to the extremely fine cut and the consistency of the liquid. It is really thin and watery. The tobacco taste doesn't really work well with fruit flavors, but it goes pretty well with the spice flavors. Out of what I've tried cinnamon and chocolate are good. I'm looking forward to 7 spice and irish cream which should be on their way.
