Check this item out people!
NOTE. I tried to keep it under 11 mins but i couldnt. I wanted to make sure i showed everything that is important to someone that is looking for a new coal.
just got some for the first time today, the only problems i have with them is that i find i need three for my vortex bowl to heat up correctly, and they seem to not be of uniform size, some are smaller.
I actually hate using Quick lights because you get a bit of a taste from the coal and they so brittle, so it makes handling hard. I prefer using natural coals because there is no taste and they are alot stronger and well made. Yes they take longer to light but it is worth it. A You can search wind covers on the forums to see what they look like. But it will defiantly help make the coals last a bit longer. Less are that is hitting or blowing in the coals will make them last a few mins longer. and with a wind cover you can use less coals for a smoke session.
Thanks for such a great review. This is the first of many I've watched that was truly informative. We have only used Belgian quick light coals so far. Do you have a review of quick light vs. the natural light coals? The Belgian seem to start fairly fast with just a standard disposable lighter. They do crackle/small spark as they light and give off a sulfur smell like you would get when lighting matches. That smell goes away within about a minute. It doesn't give off much smoke, in fact I haven't noticed any after it's fully lit. A 40 mm lasts close to an hour per coal and a 30 mm lasts about 30 to 40 minutes. We're new to using a hookah and know nothing about the wind cover you described, so maybe using one might help the coal last longer? Anyway, any info you can share is greatly appreciated.
Thanks alot guys. Yea chamlink, i really didnt want to leave to much room for questions with this review. Its a good product and i wouldnt hesitate to replace all my coco Nara's for these.
