So first off i let it heat up on its own upside down when i first got it. I let it sit there until that odd smell went away. then when i went to use it the first time i let it heat up like you would a quick light.
i plugged it in let it sit upside down again. set up the hookah. and for the foil cut a bunch of slits that span from under the coal to outside past the coal.
then as the instructions said i let it sit and heat the shisha for about 10 min. then i started to smoke!
