Smoking Ban

The age thing seems ridiculous..... but I do like pubs and estaurants which are cigarette and cigar smoke free. I don't agree with hookah smoking ban though and I'm not into the whole herbal smoke. I am actually a tobacco Control Enforcement Officer in my day job. It's my job to make life difficult for smokers and retailers of tobaco products.. I buy my tobacco a little distance outside my work area cause it shouldn't be on sale but I'm covered because it's not my area of town Ireland is a nanny state, they'll be bringing in a law for spitting on the sidewalk next.

we have laws here in south africa that we not allowed to smoke in any mals or shops unless it's a smoking zone so the only place you can really smoke is at home. plus we don't really have any hookah lounges here in sa. dam Laws

On campus we have designated smoke areas and people still get pissed off saying its tobacco free blah blah blah. If it was truly tobacco free why would they have cigarette butt catchers?

Cali has had a smoking ban forever; I'm 32 and i only remember people smoking in restaurants when i was a little kid; like 8 or 9 years old. Cali has city's and counties that your not allowed to smoke in period. I've heard you not allowed to smoke in Alameda county. I've heard that in Davis your not allowed to smoke at all in public, anywhere. No such things as designated smoking areas. I heard it even applies in your car when your driving and in your own back yard and front yard. I cannot confirm 100% as i avoid that city like the plague.

I'm in alameda county and theres I think one or two lounges around here
