Default Buzz kill...

I tried out my friends hookah tonight and 10min in I'm like "why am I not getting any smoke?!?!" Then I do a full check on the hookah and found that...the ball bearing was missing. I really couldn't Find anything to use as a ball bearing.

Then I went to my best friend DUCT TAPE Got my smoke to kick in a bit but after another good 10min or so, I decided to call quits and claim it an EPIC FAIL -_-

I would've used a BB like from a video review I saw on this site but remembered that I don't play with BB guns.

Any idea's for anything to use?

Aluminum foil rolled into a little ball. Alternatively, Hookah John sells replacement ball bearings. Not sure about the size, though.

They're not a universal size? I thought they were all the same. Also my friend dropped off his hookah at my place cause he was in a rush to go to church and we slept over after a party that night. Ball might still be at her place =] I hope

The ball bearing from my no-name chinese hookah is much smaller than my KM's, that's what I know.

You can also roll up a paper towel and stuff it into the purge valve.

Duct tape was actually very easy cause it just stuck on and when I needed to purge o just flip it up a lil then it sticks right back on =]

take apart a bearing. like skate, bike or anything else that spins on a ball bearing.

I was thinking about that while I was hookahing with my duct taped valve and looking around my room. But aren't the bearings like tiny as hell from a skateboard? Also I love my bike too much lol

I just had the greatest find. I hope you guys celebrated Mardi Gras before cause mardi gras beads from the necklaces are a perfect fit for use as a ball bearing =] I just cut a bead out and put that babe in my friends hookah haha

haha ya i would never mess my bike up for my hookah. sorry peeps but i got the hookah so i can take it with me on bike ride
im not sure size of skateboard bearings. but i know bike ones are big enough. and please dont take apart a good bike... take like a spare wheel you dont need. or thats messed up. hell find something with wheel someone it throwing out and rob them of its bearings. finding bearings is easy when you know where to look

What kind of hookah are you using? Is it a two hose or a one hose? If it is two why don't you just ask your friend to cap his hose? If it is a one then what the hell did your friend do to not notice the purge valve was not working? If you plugged the other port and still got no smoke then you have a problem beyond just the ball bearing.

Naw we didn't clean up the hookah after the party and some curious drunk might've unscrewed the valve and dropped the ball bearing. lol

Fun. Damn drunk people. They are only awesome when they are me.

Ya this thread is filled with proper suggestions. The best being the airsoft BB. just make sure to get the non-biodegradable kind.
