Default Nammor/Razan/Caravan Hoses...

So i'm looking into getting an upgraded hose when i order my hookah here in the next couple of days. Apparently, the Nammor, Razan, and Caravan hoses are top choice for ease of draw. Granted that the aforementioned hoses are all virtually identical in appearance, my question is one of quality.

Do these hoses hold up?

I've done the research and it appears they fall apart fairly quickly.

Does anybody have a good alternative so i don't have to buy a new hose every month?

I ve had three razans ... for a total of like 20 months of use on them.... never had them fall apart...one of them the grommet came lose, but i just glued it in, instant fix. I think the falling apart is exaggerated, if they really did fall apart all the time people would not be buying them.

Just don't wash them in HOT water....

i have a razan
my friend has a grand

razan and nammor are virtually the same
but the grand (caravan) does have a slightly righter pull (some may prefer it. il probably get one just to have a choice)

neither of us have had any problem with ours falling apart
and im sure that if anything does happen its nothing a glue gun wont fix

I've noticed a few sites advertise hoses as washable but im unsure.

Nammors and razans are made in the same factory. They are identical in every way besides color.

actually, have noticed that my nammor has less stitching on the handle, the razan has much closer stitching, and also the razan seems like it has a wider draw.

I havent had any issues with mine, nor have any of my friends. As far as I can tell, as long as you dont let the handle soak, it will be fine

Wash your hose once a week or so using cool water and you'll be fine.

I do wish the wristband looking thing on either side of the handle was removable though.

The tip that goes in the hose port come out on mine, but i superglued that bitch. Showed it who was boss!

Other than that, just run water though it, and try your hardest not to get the handle wet.

Also, i use hot water in mine, and i have had it for almost 6 months now, no sign of wear on it. I use a cheap funnel i purchased at the dollar store and then just shove it in the hole wear the mouth piece is supposed to be, turn on my shower, and VIOLA!

my razan sultan got leaks from the lower handle sweatband.
i used concrete glue and that only sealed it for about 20min.
it keeps on leaking and the POS leaks are everywhere.
it is so hard to find.

I prefer caravan

I have a Razan Sultan hose and I noticed that when I'm purging the vase, I see a little smoke escaping from where the mouth pieces goes into the hose. Anyone have the same problem and what did you do to fix it? Maybe just add a very thin rubber grommet to the mouth piece?

Been using a nammor for a month or so now with no issues. I've just been careful not to get the outside of the handle wet. After you remove the mouthpiece, the hole is big enough that you can just pour water into it from a cup or something without spilling everywhere.

So you glued the removable mouthpiece to the hose?

I own all three. The caravan/grand won't have the issue razans and nammors do with the leak where the hose tip meets the hose because it is glued in. They have a slightly tighter pull, which is my preference. The problem I have with caravan hose is that if you are smoking by a table or any surface the hose can get caught on, you'll find the velvet-esque material they wrap the hose in will be worn very easily- so easily that the caravan Al Fakher shipped to me got worn by wrapping it around the hookah for transport. So if you're into aesthetics, smoke around a table, or know how to use super glue I'd say go with a razan or nammor. My nammor has held up better than my razan sultan. If you aren't smoking on a table, maybe a soft surface, go with the caravan.

I use the grand daily... I have a nammor and razan around here somewhere... but i liked the glued in tip personally... I would use the nammor if chrisicool gets his glass tips out .

Another thing.... What company/factory makes the nammor and razan... im talking about manufacturing not distribution... i know what vendors to buy from but i was just wondering what factory they are produced at?

All good hoses. Honestly, the only difference is the price. Oh and dont forget the plastic taste from the first couple of uses.

Bought a Nammor and the acrylic snapped when removing it from a hookah. Contacted H-S and it was replaced for free. Fixed it with some acrylic glue (cyanoacrylate). Now I have two nammor hoses. That first nammor that I fixed had further problems. The grommet came out and the hose fell apart at the handle where it connects to the hose. More glue and back to beautiful working order.

I bought a Razan from John at ******* Hookah with my Syrian and have never had a single issue.

The hose on the Razan seems more rigid where the nammors are more free flowing. the Razan has a much tighter fit between the hose and mouth piece. difficult to remove so i never do.

I love all of tehm and use them daily. Once I fixed the issues with the nammor it works perfectly. It turns out it was an early production and essentially just a lemon. But then again I can fix anything.
