Default Help repairing

One of my hose adapters isnt working properly. the ball bearing is sticking or something cause you have to pull hard to break the ball away to let smoke into your hose.. Idk if the ball is messed up. Im gunna order a replacment ball bearing but dont know how to put a new one in. Anyone done this before?

use a pipe cleaner to unscrew the adapter and brush all the gunk out.
also clean the ball

usually the ball bearings are underneath an unscrew-able cap.
ball bearings can gum up and stick if you don't pay attention to them.
usually, you just take off the cap, take out the ball, and put the new one in.
you shouldn't ever really need a new one unless you lose it.
i'd just clean the ball, and the part where the ball sits, since it's probably all stuck in there.
if you're really desperate, use wd-40 and give your hookah a DEEP DEEP cleaning after.

Mine used to do this, a nice trick I picked up from my smokeshop is you use a plastic airsoft gun pellet to replace your metal ball bearing. They're EXACTLY the same size and work like a charm.

ya they get dirty easy, just needs to be cleaned well (even with cleaning it every time i still get my purge valve sticking every once in a while)

the airsoft bbs are supposed to make auto seals pull more easily and can be replaced much more easily

i have a mya and i tried using airsoft bb's, but they stuck even more than the metal ones! the airsoft bb's were a tad smaller and would sit too low. they are almost small enough to roll out the other side

I dont get why the purge is so crucial, I have smoked without a purge for 2 years no problem. Maybe just plug it up?

For the ball bearing - if you ever need one, don't bother ordering replacements. Just pick one up at any hardware store, in the section with nails, screws, bolts, etc... They have little pull-out trays with various sizes - I think they are usually 1/4 inch, and go for ~$0.25 each. The airsoft BB's sound like a really good solution though.
