Default How to remove the green muck in the stem?

Ive tried baking soda and lemon but its still ther!! just cant seem to get rid of the thing. Any suggestions?

lol yesss. first with warm water and brushes, then baking soda and lemon, let it sit for a bit and then brush it. but its still there

I used half a cup of vinegar, a spoon full of salt, then added flour until it was a somewhat thick paste and gooped it in.

I'm not sure it will take care of the oxidation though.

im not sure if its just colour. if i look through from the top, where the bowl goes. its all green, but if i rub my finger over it, it doesnt stain. But im not gettin enough flavour from the shisha. hardly any flavour.

wat could it be then? im gettin enough smoke. its not harsh. but there just isnt enough flavour. the tobacco is a freshly opened AF-Double Apple

fink its a chinese phunnel. eres the pic.... http://www.southsmoke.com/pd-phunnel-bowl.cfm. and i start with 3 coals in the pyramid shape. theyre quiklites.

hmm wtf then thats not ur problem cuz i use a small tangiers and 3 CH coals and do just fine... are you sure there isnt any air leaks?

yup ive chekd by placing my finger over the top without the bowl and trying to take a hit, and its air tight. Its really annoying!

lol . oh are you sure the coals are lit up all the wya also.. and check you purge valve to see if its closed all the way and the bb isnt stuck and letting in air..

lol i swer im not making this up but thats all chekd. Ive even slitely oiled the valve to make sure and i only put on the coals once theyre red hot and white ashed

hmmm shiet idk then.. the only thing left to blame is the tobacco hahaha.. have you tried smoking other tobacco out of your hookah?

well thats the only tobacco ive got atm, im from UK so its kinda hard to get hold of it. Im running low on stock! hmm u reckon i should buy a new hookah?

if its a cheap chinese rig and it has green shit in the stem then i do think its a good idea to get a new rig..

if you can get your hands on a Syrian/Nour brass hookah GO FOR IT.. if not a KM hookah is good aslo.. if you can order from the internet you access to many different types of hookahs.. try to stay away form cheap chinese rigs

A few things the Green Muck is patina that means that the Hookah stem is either low grade brass or Copper so dont chuck that CHinese just yet Hookah Royal should be able to help you Mo0 speak to some of the other UK smokers they should be able to advise you where to get Tobacco.

AF gives nice clouds but not a lot of flavor Nakhla gives less clouds and more flavor. For a bit more flavor try room temp water in the base

im gonna give my hookah stem another clean. and c how it goes from ther. The only problem is Hookah Royal havent relly got much variety on there site. Thanks for the suggestions ppl.

roll some steelwool into a long strand and use a thin rod to push it through the stem should come clean in the end
