Default Can small hookahs compete with the big ones?

I'm thinking of getting a Mya QT and selling my KM.

I like the smaller hookahs just because they are more portable and easier to manage/clean.

Do you guys think that the Mya can produce the same clouds I got with a KM and will the flavor stay the same?

why sell your KM? why not just save up some money and get the QT and make the comparison yourself? hookahs are hookahs

I only need one hookah i'm not trying to collect them and I just like the small hookahs better. I only bought the KM because the owner of my local shop gave me a good deal.

I would just get a second one. You'll be glad you did when one breaks in some fashion.

But yes the Mya QT is a great hookah, not like a KM though, and since they're cheap it wouldn't be anything to set you back.

If you prefer the smaller hookahs then just get a smaller hookah. If you are worried about the smoke quality changing then you need to make a comparison for yourself. Personally I love the QT my girlfriend has.

If you want a smaller more portable shisha then the QT/Bambino would be a logical choice.

You're not gonna get the same draw/clouds with a QT/Bambino that you'll get with a KM. The small downstem won't give you the same temperature smoke you'd get with a KM. I agree you should get a QT and keep your KM.

my first hookah was a mya econo gelato. Loved it, and I loved all the other mya's I've had experience with. They really are great little hookahs. Easy to set up, and I got as much smoke and flavor out of my small mya as I do my KM. Maybe even a little bit more.

Keep the KM and get a QT/Bambino.

Having 2 hookahs can be advantageous and certainly doesn't mean you are collecting. You will have times when you want to smoke from your KM again.

The smaller Mya offerings are EXTREMELY easy to clean, just like the KM and they all smoke the same IMO.

he is right you wont get the same draw/clouds the draw is going to be tighter and the clouds smaller. why you may ask well its all about airflow. a mya has allot smaller stem (diameter) than a km therefor you will get less airflow which in turn means a tighter pull and smaller clouds.
yes you can get good clouds from a mya but not as good of clouds as you would from a km. ohh and not to mention the base is smaller allowing for less smoke.

yea, dont get rid of your KM. I almost got rid of my egyptian when i got my new syrian, but now i am so glad i didnt. There have been plenty of times when i have had a few people over and we set up two hookahs. One will have a minty fruit, and the other will be some pipe or unflavored stuff that just me and my brother smoke. And, it also gives your friends and family an opportunity to "tend" their own hookah. Now, if my sister borrows mine, she knows how to use it and ash it or purge correctly.

I have a MYA Diva and with a nammor or KM hose I can get the same amount of flavor and smoke as I would get with my KM's. Personally I would keep the KM and buy a MYA as well. Its really up to you, you can get the Mya to smoke just as good.

i dont think you can copare the two in the way they smoke abviously the KM is a much better draw and quality. i wouldnt sell my KM aand buy a QT may be you should wait till someone is selling a used one in the trade section and you can get it for cheap.

The Mya bambino I have smoked has an extremely easy pull, anymore than that and its kind of trivial.

As far as quality, Mya makes great pipes that are very solid. no need to compare the actual pipes really. They both have some but few flaws.

A tighter pull (the bambino is very loose IMO) does not a bad pipe make and if people think the myas are too restrictive to enjoy they need to re-evaluate their defenition of tight lol.

Of course they are different pipes in two very different price ranges but there is no reason to not own both is what I was getting at, the KM and smaller MYA's are both great pipes.

Your crazy if you sell your KM. The QT is a great hookah but it really doesn't compare to a KM. Having 2 hookahs doesn't mean your collecting, most people on here actually have at 2-3 hookahs. I wouldn't exactly call it collecting until until you have like 6 (me), 8, 12, 30 (Big Poppa) that you would be collecting.

i am a fan of the idea of getting another and not selling your KM. you can get a mya mini for 25ish shipped to you door usually on ebay (i paid 25.60). granted it is my main rig because my other one is a rotator (smokes great but it had shitty construction). i think larger rigs smoked easier, smoother etc but small ones can smoke very well too. larger ones seem to be able to cover up slight issues with heat management sometimes and since their bases are usually larger (above the water line) they give less choppyness in the pull, more smoke reservoir, and just a more enjoyable smoke.

i love my mya mini, its easy to set up, easy to clean and smokes well but if i had a deeper sink i wouldnt worry about the cleaning issue.

after smoking a mini for about 10 months almost every night i will say its good but i am going to buy a KM to smoke when im at my apartment and just keep my mya as a travel rig or if im lazy and dont want to clean much

IMO, no reason not to get the small one. The biggest difference I noticed was pull strength - between my current AF 36" and 10" pumpkin, the pumpkin requires a hugely harder pull. Other than that, go with what looks and portability needs dictate!

+1 to your +1, My Sahara Genie smokes like a beast using my phunnel bowl and a regular leather hose. Well enough to be my every day smoker over my two KMs and two Syrians. It is much easier to clean than any other pipe I own and obviously it's much easier to transport. However I do agree that you should just keep the KM. I have five pipes and don't think of myself as collecting yet.
