Default Got a few questions guys

ok guys i have been looking at a few KMs lately and i need someone to give me the scoop on them. I know MZs are also good quality hookahs but they are not as pleasing to my eye as the KMs are. Here are the links to the hookahs i have in mind.

Also im interested in picking up a new phunnel bowl. Would it be better to get a small or just go ahead and get a medium?

Go with a small phunnel.

Any of those KM's will be great pipes, I just wouldn't get anything more than a 32" (I am not a fan of having to stand up to place coals...), and anything above 26" or so is purely aesthetics.

Actually, my 35" KM is perfect height even for when I'm laying on my bed. I think my bed is raised up more than most others though since I have a trundle bed underneath, but I'd say if you got any hookah between 28" to 32", that would be more suitable for most people's needs imo.

Any of the ones you posted above would be great choices. Just choose depending on which one you like more aesthetically.

my question now is will these basically be the same hookah? Like will they act the same? is the only difference the looks?

Those will smoke the same, although I prefer the Exotica aesthetically.

Regarding the pear -

IIRC the "pears" in the stem are acrylic. 1) If it is acrylic, it could crack and ruin the entire stem. Not to mention the connections between that and the surrounding metal would not be up to part with metal-to-metal welds. 98% sure they are acrylic materials. 2) If it isn't acrylic, it's just another weld to possibly weaken or become detached if the hookah were to become impacted or tipped over.

Either way, I'd choose the Exotica.

Great choice in general, though. I love my KM.

edit: To further the "small phunnel" suggestion; anything bigger and a sub-2 hour session wastes a lot of shisha. The Egyptian bowl that comes stock with the KM's is sufficient for 95% of shisha out there so you might want to try it first.

ok man thanks alot. I was leaning mostly towards the exotica in the first place anyway i just wanted to get the scoop on the other three. So i have made up my mind in getting the exotica and the small phunnel bowl. The only problem i have with ever smoking hookah is coal management. Like you said before if the session is less than 2 hours there will be unburned shisha, but at the same time i have never heard of any coals that burn for more than an hour and a half so what would you have to do to make the session last 2 hours?

Just swap out coals. If you use a good quality coal with a windscreen, you can get over an hour per coal at times, but you're going to have to use a couple of sets of coals at the least. Also depending on how often you take a hit will significantly effect how quick your coals burn.

There's also nothing wrong with picking up a small mod bowl. The smaller Mya bowls are PERFECT for a single-coal 30-45min session. They only hold around 15g of shisha comfortably and it's perfect for a single person.

Great choice i would have gone for the exotica as well, but i personally prefer my KM's to have some sort of brass onit, to give it a sturdy feel.

Small phunnel is perfect for 2 hours of shisha, if you smoke less mayb you can pick up a vortex instead?

And yh just add more coals onto the bowl to carry on smoking or use a windcover

Yes, I would use two to three coals on a phunnel. I typically use 3 coals laid out in a triangle shape.
