Question Turkish Tobacco

Does everybody know or suggest a Turkish blend and any specific flavour?

Thanks.

I got something called I think, Sima Sultan, when I went to turkey a couple years ago. It was apricot flavour - one of the first things I ever smoked and I really liked it...dont know how it would compare to some of my faves now but back then it was nice! S the only Turkish tobacco ive tried really...

I bought some Rosanna Vanilla Capuccino the other day. I haven't had the chance to smoke it yet, but it smells heavenly. As soon as I can, I'll let you know how it is.

I don't get your question in that are you asking about Turkish tobacco blends used moassels black style moassels or are you asking about more modern style fruit flavoured moassels made in Turkey? If you mean the former Bachi-Bagli Halva & Samsun Maden-Canek Halva are very nice heavy bodied smoke with a rich, moderately sweet flavour profile that are simply delightful.

In terms of more modern stuff that is easier to get i'd suggest the Rosanna and serbetli brands. I ive more of the later and think it's excellent. I've heard of Sima Sultan but i've never had it.

My question is about the molasses I think. To give you the picture I usually smoke Nakhla in several flavours (two apples, grape, capuccino, etc,). Also I tried Al Fakher and a specific mix moassel of a Syrian store (the tender call it Abou Ali mix ). I also know tumbak although I do not smoke it.

So I do not know the difference between Turkish tobacco blends used moassels black style moassels or more modern style fruit flavoured moassels made in Turkey.

What I want is something specific of Turkey profiting of a friend's visit to there. If it is classic or modern style moassel does not matter... too much.

All the names you specify seems to haven't a web, except Sima Sultan that has online shop... coming soon.

Cheers.

Well the easiest stuff to get in Rosanna and serbetli and i've more of the later then the former and both are very good although Serbetli is usually better in my opinion both are pretty good. If you can find Bachi-Bagli Halva or Samsun Maden-Canek Halva you should get them since they are never sold outside of Turkey and they are just amazing. I haven't had much tombac from Turkey so I can't tell you much about that.

I tried serbetli apple, it wasnt good, but the grape was nice, just like a grape soda drink, check a shisha cafe, you can try it, and if you like it you can purchase it from a store.

If I were the one that is going to Turkey, that would be the idea, but it's my friend who is going.

Serbetli is nice.
I have had good experience with their Pineapple and Tutti Frutti (which is some kind of mixed fruit, but really really delicious.)

Ok, so I smoked some Rosanna Banana last night. It was pretty damn good. The stuff produced pretty good smoke and tasted just like banana Runts.

Sorry I didn't notice this earlier but in response to tic-tac's question I don't know of any website in the U.S. that carries any Turkish brand. I do know of a couple in Germany and the U.K. that carry Serbetli and if you want I can dig those up. As far as I know no online vendor carries Rosanna. Halva, if memory serves me, means sweet in Turkish and the brand I referred with Halva in the name is Bachi-Bagli which makes (I think) about 5-6 varieties of traditional Turkish moassel. As best as I can recall, they are only available in Turkey although I forget off hand where they are made exactly.
