Default I need coal advice!

I really really want to try some natural coals

so far i have only smoked with quicks

BUT, i do not have an electric stove, only gas stoves

so is there anything i can do so i can use naturals?

How can i light the naturals without an electric stove?

gas stove should actually be fine. i used my gas stove for coconaras for months. it just takes a bit longer for them to fully light. an electric coil burner is ideal though. i picked one up at kmart for like 15 bucks.

stoves are fine just make sure u make them big enough to be held up by the brackets for the stove or it will make a big mess

Seriously, going from QLs to naturals made a world of difference for me. I use the ******* Hookah Coconut Naturals from Hookah John's. Amazing! Gas ranges are fine for heating up natural coals, but you'll want to keep close watch on them because they will catch fire if you're not careful.

To make things a bit more convenient, though, I bought a single, coil burner from Walgreen's for $10. Great investment. I don't have to make an ashy mess on my cook top, it's fast and if I'm smoking after my son goes to sleep I don't have to smoke up the kitchen (since my son's bedroom is near the kitchen). I can just take it out on the screened in porch and use a heavy duty extension cord.

You can get a windcover and put it over the coals while they are lighting, it will speed up the process a little. May I suggest you use a old/extra windcover if you have because it was char it up and its going to look pretty bad.

I think i'll most likely buy a single coil burner as suggested by a few people

it sounds like my best bet
