Default battle of the trimetals

Hello all. My Bday is coming up soon and I will be replacing my everyday smoker (knockoff Chinese MZ). I own a QT and a 36" AF Solid,
but I only bust those out on travel/special occasions. My friend said he would buy me a hookah and I am stuck between these 3:

I'm looking for something smaller than 36" maybe between 27/32". (for everyday smoker).

I am specifically looking on input from people who have smoked from the original "OG" trimetal and the more modern one. Which one smokes better? Which one would you get? What about the double tri?

Have you seen my review of the OG? I love the pipe. The welds around the hose port and the urge valves are a little sloppy, but it is a great pipe. Thats the one i would go with. I have never been a big fan of the other tri-metal designs though.

But you have to remember... all KMs smoke the same. Or atleast consistantly enought that i am not a dumbass for making such a blanket statement.

OG tri-metal. I own the chromed version and it's pretty freaking awesome. Only gripe I have is that the end of the Narbish sometimes has trouble staying in the hose port.

They are all good pipes and will smoke exactly the same, but the chiller will give you a slightly cooler smoke, so it might be a bit different compared to others.

Another option might be the KM americana

I would go with either the OG or any of the newer tri-metals out.

Yea, the welds on most of the OG Trimetals are like that I've seen.
From personal experience with the OG Trimetal, I can tell you that it'll smoke as well as just any other KM. Like Killer said, you can't expect it to have the prettiest looking welds, but if you can around the welds it is a beautiful hookah.
I too do not care for the looks any of the other trimetals either, so my opinion is biased upon the appearance.

Like I said though, great and beautiful hookah once you get around the quality of the welds in the case that you too get one with sloppy welds

Trimetal hearts mostly smoke the same. Every Trimetal I've seen has the same gauge internals, with the exception of a small number of them that'll have wrong tubes in them.

That being said, KMs don't all smoke the same. I find the smaller hubbed KMs to have thinner tubes than larger hubbed ones, ie size 26 hub Trimetals vs size 30 hub New Butterfly (hub size, not shank size). It's not a perfect generalization because some hearts don't fit it but it's a pattern I've noticed.

My daily pipe is the second on your list... excellent smoker, as good as any KM you just have to be down with polishing it...

IMO the new hourglasses are beautiful, I'm trying (in vein) to talk myself out of getting one...
