Default Tarek Elafret hookah?

I was at a local mall today for the first time in ages doing x-mas shopping. Since the last visit there is a new store called Sphinx. As you can guess all sorts of Egyptian themed stuff. Well The entire back wall is shelves of hookahs. I had the owner pull down what appeared to be a Syrian style. It was definitely heavy like a Syrian. When I asked who the manufacturer was he read the writing on the tray and said the name was Tarek Elafret, I had him write it down so I could come home and research it. Google gives no hits.

Anybody ever hear of this maker, or know anything about them? Price was $70 with the basic accessories and some shisha.

I inquired about his ability to get any other Syrian pieces he's going to look into it and get back to me.

Tarek Elafret is not a brand i am familiar with. If you can get some pictures that would be great. My google skills have come up short as well. Does the chamber look good?

When I've tried to take pictures of hookahs in stores, I've usually been told that they do not allow customers to take pictures of the merchandise... but if you -can- get pics please do!

Yup it's at Southridge mall, second floor, opposite anchor side of sears so that would be the south end I guess. They do sell shisha there but it all seems a bit over priced. They have starbuzz, af, fantasia, nakhla and a few herbals I think. They have a few funnels possibly chinese, saw the wierd 3 chamber bowl there as well.

I have recently moved and just found my digital camera. I will try to stop back in the next few days and grab some pics, the owner seemed nice enough. He was gonna see of he could get me something a bit bigger. He may let me take some pics. I will try and get some pics of the chamber as well as the tray he read the name from. The hose was a pretty awful excuse of a hose and I didnt really examine the base very closely.

Well I stopped back in today and got a few pics. The pic I took of the whole thing was a bit wonky but it's the best I got. I was kind of disappointed to see that the stem unscrewed into 2 parts, therefore not being a solid stem. The stem and chamber holes all seemed a bit small. Got a pic of the tray stand with engraving on it. Tray was just a standard with no stamping or markings. He told me he's getting in a few more and that he would call when they arrive.

He also threw me 3 sample packs of shisha I havent heard of before. He gave me 2 packs of Amaren. The other pack looks like the name is Maassal Mon Pote, box has a little cartoonish guy smoking a hookah.

Anyway, enough rambling...on to the pics.

Except for the joint in the stem it was solid. Quite heavy, the stem has to weigh like 3-5 pounds, as a guess, but I'm no good with guessing weight.

Looks REALLY nice, wide gauge, traditional chamber.. if it's only $70 I would scoop that thing up real quick!

Wow, that's an awesome deal there. If I was anywhere in the vicinity and had an extra $70, I would definitely pick one up.

It looks like a brass Egyptian hookah. I've never heard of this brand but this hookah looks solid and nice.

Sorry in advanced for the large pics...keep forgetting to resize.

I got a call yesterday that he got a few more pieces in, so off I went to get some pics. The first one is of a style that has some acrylic type ornaments on the stem. The other pics are of a green one all brass, but this one has a screw in type of lower stem, the rest is solid. again not really what I had in mind, but not a bad looking piece. All the new ones he showed me today have a female style bowl, small diameter but kind of deep.

He told me he's planning a trip to Egypt soon, I told him if he can bring me a KM unlike anything sold in the states I would for sure buy it up.

Here is the one I was most interested in, but still wary of the screw in parts, and not sure I really like that base. Seems kind of loud for my tastes.

They look really nice but not my style.

The detail is cool though.

I would like the green one a lot more without the green on the stem, had it not been painted and had a different base I would have walked out the door with it. The ones with the acrylic I didn't care for at all.
