Default Cold Shisha

I know we have talked about acclimating shisha in the past and Tangiers is a MUST to acclimate. But I was wondering if cold shisha needs to return to room temps before smoking. I just recvd my half of a trade with Thomas and I wanna dig in to the AW Bounty and AW Vanilla but its freaking cold out and the tubs were freezing cold when it arrived from the UPS guys truck. Should I let it sit out a bit before firing up a bowl or do you think it will perform just fine the way it is? I am sure this is one of those YMMV topics but I wanted to get a consensus.

I have tried smoking cold shisha before, for the same reason you have. The smoke is wispy because the coal takes a long time to get it up tot he right temperature in order to vaporize the glycerine and such.

This may sound stupid, but i would reccomend microwaving it... i did it and it worked fine. 5 second intervals, stirring every time. About 30 seconds, but if you go over the glycerine will become very thin and smoke harsh for a while.

Oh Dang I forgot about the bowl having to get up to temperature to produce good smoke. Thanks, its sitting out on my counter and when I finish eating I will nuke it if need be.

No problem man. The glycerine on the tobacco usually gets pretty hard when left in the cold so it's also quite hard to pack correctly.

I have to do this alot cause i bring the tobacco out with me when smoking and in 20 degree weather it hardens quite a bit in it's metal SB tin.

20 degrees? Dang, now there's some cold tobacco!

I only "chilled" one brand of tobacco before using and it took FOREVER to start smoking. The microwave trick sounds like it should work, if you don't want to wait. Make sure to report back afterwards.

No nuke required lol, it warmed up pretty fast. Was still a bit cool but it will be fine. I will just let the coals do their thing for a few minutes before I take a pull
