Default Hookah Bowls

Hello Everyone,

As I am new to hookahs I need some help. I just went and ordered my first hookah yesterday. It is a 30" Khalil Mamoun. I was looking to get a replacement bowl for it in case the first one broke . I looked at so many types of bowls I did not know what one to get. Is there a good bowl for my set up. If yes please let me know as I am lost on this topic. Thank you for the help.

I heard great things about the MNH Glass Hookah bowl, its expensive though.

If you do go with this option, make sure to get the scali mod.

Theres also Tangiers which have good bowls like the phunnel bowl, except these are supposed to hold a lot of shisha, so it's not really good for solo smoking.

Here are my recommendations.
http://hookahcompany.com/tangiers_me..._1676_prd1.htm
http://hookahcompany.com/colored_sau..._2637_prd1.htm
http://hookahcompany.com/clay_egypti...h_291_prd1.htm

the Funnel is good to have but if you just want a replacement standard bowl 1 of the other 2 I posted are great. I recommend a funnel and a clay, you wont regret it.

I would recommend this...

http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?products_id=119

I have one and it smokes like a champ. It's a nice in between size, bigger than an Egyptian clay and not as massive as a Medium Funnel bowl.

I have a MNH small glass funnel and love it . I also have the mod with it
http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.ph...products_id=91

I also have a Small and Medium Tangiers Phunnel. Great bowls just as well
http://www.hookahcompany.com/tangier..._2070_prd1.htm
http://jandrhookahs.com/medium-funne...tock-p-53.html

I also have the Tangiers Super Chief which is a really nice bowl also but can be tricky at first
http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.ph...roducts_id=118

These are all good bowls IMO.

You should get a Tangier's Phunnel bowl. Small is a good size, it actually holds a lot of shisha. You can find them cheap at mnhookahs.com

Check out the review section for details on its performance. You'll also find plenty of reviews on other basic bowls which are always good to have as a spare.

Tangiers is a brand of tobacco. Non-Tangiers tobacco is Al Fakher, Al Waha, Hookah Hookah, Nakhla, Pharoah's etc.

It's a little piece of glass that goes over the center hole of the phunnel bowl to prevent the foil from being sucked in. It's also really effective at keeping the coals spread out throughout the session, instead of them trying to move closer together. It basically draws air from the bottom of the phunnel instead of drawing it through the top hole. Go here for a pic http://mnhookahs.com/product_info.php?products_id=73

You people have helped me out alot today by answering a lot of new guy questions for me. I hang out a lot on a lot of 4X4 websites and the people there can and do get rude with a lot of the new people there. I was expecting the same here but you all helped out with out a bad word or making me feel like a dumb dumb.

Thank You

That's cause we've ALL been in the same position you're in right now at least once before. We were all newbies at one point, so we know what it feels like to not know what certain things are for the hookah and what not. We're here to help, so any other questions, don't hesitate to ask...

I would without hesitation recommend you a phunnel bowl. They are amazing bowls, and keep your session going for much longer that standard bowls because the flavor never sinks into the water. They are very sturdy and easy to use. Also, i would say, if you buy a medium bowl, get a Mod from MNhookahs.com. it saves you shisha, and re-directs the smoke through the gooey juices in the shisha to optimize taste.

Agree with ZenSilk 150%. It saves you shisha by making the bowl last alot longer, phunnel is the best thing since sliced bread.

And just to let you know, YES you can underpack a bowl - it's not for saving tobacco, but rather for giving a small airspace between the foil and the top of the tobacco. It helps in preventing the tobacco from burning (best with some of the more heat sensitive brands).

And first things first... if this is your first hookah (Great choice btw) you should always prefect the simple art of the standard Egyptian clay bowl (the one that should come with it). That way you have things down to a fine art before spending the extra cash on the fancy bowls and extra tobacco.

Reason: I prefer simple clay bowls to ALL the FANCY ones. I bought and sold BOTH a phunnel and a glass bowl.
