Default Coals Question

So I smoked hookah off and on for about 2 years now and have recently acquired my hookah back from a friend but don't really know much about it. My question is... what is the difference between quick lighting coals and the non quick lights in terms of pros and cons towards the smoking experience? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks a ton.

pros- very quick light time
cons- smell horrid when lighting (must be lit outside), often times cause headaches, ignition chemical does not work after a couple months

pros- minimal smell when lighting (depends on the brand), last longer than QL coals, can be lit inside
cons- long light time (you can put them on when you set up the hookah).

I'm going to have to disagree, one 33m quicklight is hotter than one nat, that's why you see people only use 1-2 ql when some people use up to 3-4 nats. nawwutimsayin?
Quicklites are fine from some brands, like 3 kings. They do smell while lighting but I can not detect any taste from them, an I've never had a headache from them before (3 kings that is). I don't like them because they ash funny to me, it's super fine and there is a lot of it.
Naturals are my preferred, They ash in more... chunks, which means less ash in the bowl and therefore, ash in the hookah. (easy clean up). They, again from my experience, don't have a taste, and burn colder, allowing for more heat control, which can result in a longer session etc. The downside is that they do smell while lighting. It's not a bad smell, camp firey mostly, but they do smell for the majority of lighting time.

i think that QL give off more heat do to the chemicals in it,and NATS dont really, but thats not abad thing, not much of a chance to burning your shisha, and QL give off a smell, and a taste that messes with your flavor to me

i say go with NATS

In my experience I have found that QL give out a lot of heat for a short period of time, then their heat decreases very quickly. Natural Coals produce a good amount of consistent heat and last longer.
I switched to Coconaras in January after 3 years of using QL's. Now I hate smoking with QL. I was at a Hookah lounge today that uses QL's and all I could taste was the overpowering taste of chemicals. Once you switch it's hard to go back.
