You may have a problem getting it to perform. I've done it. Just tap the foil down a bit and use slightly higher heat and adjust as needed.

Under pack, over pack is all in material. Know how to manage your heat, it does not matter.

I have a small Egyptian that uses like 5-10g at most. I don't see how it is even possible to under pack it. I even used it earlier tonight with some social smoke baja blue. filled the bowl with like 7g of tobacco and lasted a good 45 minutes. I dont know how you could use much less

yeah like they alll said, you just need to know how to manage.

Also dont make the Foil as tight, let it sink in a tad, dpending on how much tobacco you use.

also for a bowl like that, i highly recommend a wind cover. (if you dont have one you can make it, Check out my video)

Ahh thanks for the great advice, this is well noted. I will have to put this to good use.

yeah id have to agree. i have a really "odd" egyptian bowl. its HUGE! (but shallow) lol and its the only thing i had the other day when i was smoking by myself on the way home from school. (makes the drive in traffic go by alot faster) i just under-packed it and used 2x foil like i always do..and only 1 of the large 3kings. it worked beautifuly. clouds were sooo thick. the cars next to me were confused. but the smoke was getting really harsh after 30min. (WB mint SB) and this is not common so im guessing alot of the shish was just burned up and finished.

if you underpack, just put a foil loosely so that the foil falls closer to the shisha (still not touching it or it will burn. That would always work for me in an egyptian bowl.
