Default Vortex BOWL

I have a metal Vortex bowl from Saharasmoke and I bought it right when I started smoking, so I was dumb, should have gotten a non-metal one because the one I have conducts the heat WAY to much. I use one coal, 2 layers of foil, and it burns my damn tobacco so fast. If I had to guesstimate, one coal will burn the entire bowl in less than 20 minutes. I've gotten so frustrated I am just using a regular Mya bowl now. Anyone else have this problem? Most are probably smart enough to stay away from the metal bowl though.

Also tried packing a very small bowl and it never comes close to the foil so that can't be the problem.

Maybe try splitting your coal in half and just use that? If that fails, try to add some more layers of foil!

Metal bowl are less than ideal. I have never dealt with one but I have not heard good things. I hope that someone is able to help you out but it's probably not going to be me lol.

I suggest just sticking to the standard Mya for now. They are not terrible bowls. They are just not ideal either. Lol.

What coal are you using?

I've tried my coco's and some quick lights, unsuccessful in both. F-metal bowls lol. The Mya still gives me really good flavor though, just have to deal with all the damn juice in my stem and base. And don't get me wrong, when this Vortex is going, it is the best flavor/biggest clouds, it just lasts less than 20 mins lol. I like to smoke MUCH longer than that.

Yeah, metal bowls will conduct an enormous amount of heat, which not only burns the shisha, but can also burn your fingers if you aren't careful lol. Try putting using two sheets of heavy duty foil and putting the coal basically halfway on the bowl and halfway off. This way not as much heat reaches the shisha which should cool it down a little bit.

As a side note, I have a ceramic Vortex bowl from Sahara Smoke and it works quite well, though I don't notice a huge difference than using a plain old Mya bowl lol

Yeah I have tried that also, still burns the shit out of my precious Social Smoke Mobster. I seriously went thru 500 grams of shisha in less than a week because of how fast it was burning, plus I smoke quite often.

I used to have a metal bowl, and half a 33mm quicklight on double foil was all that would work, but it did work with that set-up. I got sort of tired of it after a while.
