Default Wet shisha and harsh smoke

I am having problems getting wetter shishas to burn right. I always seem to overcook the shisha and the smoke gets terribly harsh. I use a single layer of foil, pack the bowl semi-loose, and use two coconara coals. Any advice?

what kind of bowl and what shisha.. I can suggest using 2 layers of foil, and make sure no tobacco is touching the foil.

You might want to try putting the coals on the edge of the bowl and not force it to heat up quickly.

Cook the tobacco slower, pack the bowl a little more shallow, put the coals on and don't smoke for five minutes, take a slow first pull and if your not in business with that first pull, wait another minute. The tobacco shouldn't be lit by sucking lots of air in to get it going, that method tends to burn wet tobacco.

I had the same problem too and I did almost exactly what Ariberns said.. put coals on edge, eventually windcover, and let it cook for a few mins. DONT pull at all during that time.

Always let the shisha pre cook. Even if it doesn't leave behind taste when you don't, it can kill the lifetime of your bowl

I think its the Coconara's. I am having the same problem with the. try 2 quicklights. split them in half, put them on the edges as suggested before. leave for a few minutes and drag. btw if make sure ur not sucking too hard when you inhale as it will ruin your shisha.

Not trying to be a dick, but it's not the CoCoNara's.. It's your heat management guys.

Make sure foil isn't touching the tobacco. If it's still harsh, double-foil it and put the coals on the edges of the foil.

While this may work it is generally recommended to use natural coals when possible.
