Don't smoke until the bleeding stop. I'd call your doctor's office and just ask when its ok. They'll let you know. BE SAFE.

I wouldn't smoke until a while after you stop bleeding. I was even told not to smoke when I lost the tip of my finger. Smoking thins the blood I believe, so it would cause you to bleed more.

do not do anything without the go ahead from your doctor, if anyone tells you otherwise, remember, they aren't your doctor

Smoking is the same as drinking alcohol, as obsolete pointed out. It will definitely give you much more blood and I don't recommend it. Ask the doc like everyone else says. Hope you heal fast so you can get back to the Hook

if you want things to heal nicely and quickly, definitely listen to someone who knows. i didn't smoke for 3 weeks after i got my septum pierced, and even then didn't blow smoke through my nose for another 3 as a (probably unnecessary) precaution. good luck healing up, i can't even imagine the pain you get from sneezing.

Consult your MD. Smoking slows the healing process! Smoking (nicotine) causes vasoconstriction (arteries get small), thus reduces the blood supply to tissues and slows or prohibits cell nourishment. Increased CO2 also increases platelet counts and makes the blood thicker, thus reducing circulation of blood to tissues. Thus, for various reasons avoid smoking till you are well healed. Sorry, I'm an ER RN...
