Default Baked fruit heads

A lounge i go to always has the perfect hookah.
It smokes right and tastes about as good as you could ask the flavor to taste.
They make the majority of the bowls out of grapefruits and oranges.
The kid that owns the place(a former student) said he puts the fruit in the oven for a few minutes before they bring the hookah to you and thats why the moment they put the coal on it has huge clouds. It seems to never get harsh and the hookah is simply done right.

Anyone ever hear of baking the fruit with the tobacco in it?
I haven't asked him specifics like what temp and for how long.

I've never heard of that, but it's an awesome idea. You should ask him for those specifics!

Yea... I can never get any bowl with 3 coals on them. yet every review has usually use 3 coals.

I always have to use 2 or it gets to harsh.

I have never baked fruit I'm using as a bowl, but actually it makes perfect sense... I mean the problem is that the fruits are always cold so it takes a little for them to heat up / make clouds. I will bake it next time...

he bakes it with the tobacco in there. sounds like a great idea. it would also dry the fruit. i did an apple bowl today and the coals sizzled for a good 10 mins from burning the moisture in the apple.
