Default Tangiers, too much work so far

So I bought my first bag of tangiers. I started with 100g of lemon. So far I think everything has gone wrong. I let it acclimate for like 6hrs. And really don't feel like I'm getting the real flavor out of it. So, I would like to know your tangiers techniques before I give up on it for good.

I just picked up my first batch of tangiers too, going to start acclimating it later today. Do you just open up the bag? Or should I spread it out into a tray and let it acclimate like that?

Smells kinda lemon like, but can barely tell it's lemon. Don't really know how to describe it really.

let it acclimate for 24 hours and stir it up every 3 hours or so. You are trying to acclimate it to your environment and get it accustomed to you. So you might want to take it out to dinner and movie. Buy it some oysters as it has a natural bias towards an oyster fork. It also like a special tangiers bowl.

and after all that, listen to anyones advice other than mine cause i have yet to try tangiers.

4/20 is the technique.
put it in a container... leave it open for 4 hours, stirring once an hour. after 4 hours, if it doesnt smell really good, seal it for 20 hours, and repeat until youre happy with the smell.

contrary to some people on here who have no idea what theyre talking about (judging by reviews), you have to acclimate lucid as well... 2 hours max should do the trick.

once its acclimated though, you don't have to do it anymore in case you didnt know that. good luck, and welcome to the world of tangiers

I did everything I could think of, and couldn't get it acclimated. I've heard that you can't get noir to acclimate in florida....oh well...

this is a rumor that should have never been started, last time i checked climate controlled environments exist in all 50 states, especially a hot state like florida

Air conditioning makes everyone have a level playing field

the reason the tobacco has such good/long lasting flavor is due to the process eric uses. you think he doesnt wish he could make it like that? but if he did, quality would drop. so stop being lazy, and enjoy a fantastic product... or stick with SB

I'm liking Tangiers so far. I've only had one flavor so far (Juicy Peach). I let it sit out for 24 hours and it still kind of smelled like soy sauce but not very much. After that I put it in a container and the peach flavor started to come out more and it's not too bad. I live in Ohio and have no A/C. Tastes a little like peach but is still enjoyable. A little tickle in the back of the throat and a good buzz. What I've learned from my research is the best way of acclimating Tangiers is to lay it ALL out on a piece of wax paper or foil. That way more of the tobacco is exposed to your environment. Hopefully this will help a little bit.

I never read anything good about tangiers but I imagine that once you get it right it and hit the sweet spot it will smoke like a dream.

I can smoke 12 grams of tangiers for over two hours, full, complex flavor the entire time.
If you can't get noir down, I suggest lucid.
