Question bringin the dead to life !

well me and my friend used to have this 18" Egyptian hookah and it was awesome until it started to leak heavy amounts of water and to make it worse it started losing alot of air .so we gave up on it .but now 5 months later me and my friend have decided to try and recover it after a very long time of no use..

im writing this because i am looking for any tips or ideas on how to fix it!!
it was our first hookah and we would like to smoke out of it one more time!!
youll never forgot ur hookah experience lol

btw the vase is not cracked or anything

the problem seems to b around where the stem and the vase meet the water seems to leak from there

Use cyberbond. I used it to put together acrylic and glass fish tanks. It needs to cure for about 2 days.

How is water leaking out of "where the stem and the vase meet"? There should be no water up that high. I could see you having an air leak that high up but not a water leak. In that area I'd suggest getting a new base grommet. Good luck with your project

DO you mean, air is leaking from where the stem meets the base? If so, try soaking some thin cardboard in water for a little while. Till the cardboard becomes pliable. Then use the cardboard as a giant grommet for your stem and base connection ... hope that makes sense?
