Default this is such a newb question i cant believe im asking it

im not much for experimentation when smoking my wittle hookah (aside from shisha blends, once i tried layalina stawberry and banana and vanilla and something else, not too bad actually lol) when it comes to the duration of the smoke the most i do is throw a wind cover on when its needed and another coal.

so random thinking, theoretically if i bought 40 mm golden kings coals and cut them in half, i could make the smoke last 4 times as long, assuming i add a cover and whatnot.

correct me if im wrong, but 2 hours of the same bowl of afternine sounds very appealing right now lol.

wow so noobiesh, i feel like jd now >.< lol

Hehe I have tried 40 mm 3K...They are actually pretty good! They last way longer than any other QL I have tried.

Lol don't feel like a newb asking..Every hookah guru has questions too :P

i feel nothing like a guru right now aaha. but do you think buying a pack of 40 mm coals of some kind and chopping em in half could make the smoke last that long?

It will last long (3K I think it will cuz I have tried them and they last for a good amount of time) compared to other QL...but I doubt any of 'em will out beat natural charcoals :P

well of course there jilly lol. if local stores would carry exoticas and i went and bought a small heat plate or stove coil i would be using the suckers from now on, but i cant and im poor lol.
HOPEFULLY NO LONGER!!!! at least for over spring break i have a web job and it pays pretty nicely. and if i do good enough i keep it for good and get my own 1000 dollar web design program to do the work if only during the break at least i can get enough shisha and coals to last awhile lol

Breaking a QL in half exposes more coal surface, thus causing them to burn faster. Why not just use a 33mm when it gets close to dying, fire up another.

I can't stand using a windcover with a QL. YUCK! The off taste that all QL's impart is magnified when using a windcover. Get you some naturals, you will never go back to QL's.

well u can make 2 hours if you keep adding coal xD i only get crappy coals here so my smoke only lasts about 45mins.. and plus at that time i'm already bored with the flavour and i will change the bowl anyway

I have been using 3K coals for 3 years now. Also tried Japanese coals (have after taste).

I find cutting the 3K coals in half results in producing not enough heat for the shisha... in result producing way too little smoke.

alright thats all i wanted lol. cause i know a local store that carries many brands of coals and different sizes in a couple cases, but theyre all QL and dont carry exoticas. if they did i would be using those so much more. but maybe ill be able to make a nice hookah order after next week, one on top of the QT and some nice stuff too
