only real difference is that washed has less nicotine apart from that size of clouds and flavour are more down to each different company and what they add to the tobacco

washed does not pack as much of a buzz as unwashed, but things like clouds, smoke etc vary on the tobacco itself

The only difference between washed and unwashed is the taste. Washed tobacco lacks any natural tobacco taste whatsoever. The nicotine levels are relatively similar. For example, Fantasia, Starbuzz, and Fumari are all washed and lack tobacco taste. However, brands like Social Smoke, Hookah-Hookah, and Potion are unwashed, have a tobacco taste (kinda), and have very little buzz, just like the washed stuff. So yeah...

Edit: The level of the nicotine buzz really depends on the quality of the leaf used.

fantasia is not washed they just use an light leaf thats why the box says .5% nicotine not .05%.

Yes, you needed that edit.
Social smoke's unwashed have about the same nicotine as washed Al Fakher.

THE only difference between washed and unwashed is that one is tobacco which has been processed so that a lot of the nicotine has been removed. Unwashed is tobacco that still has that nicotine. This does not mean they don't have the same nicotine levels though, it all depends on the leaf.

You are more then a bit confused about washing does as are all of the responses so some clarification is in order.

The purpose of washing is to remove any trace of tobacco like flavour or texture from the tobacco to make it a better medium to carry what ever odd artificial flavours and glycerin are going to be impregnated into the abused leaf via pressure cooking, boiling, extended baking or what have you. Very often the leaf does not need to be washed to turn it into flavourless, texture-less cellulose since mild leaf can be just as easily wrecked with boiling or pressure cooking and other high temperature processes and high power artificial flavourings.

Clouds, flavour and what ever have nothing to do with a product being washed, unwashed or highly processed from another another method. Clouds are a result of how much glycerin is added to the product. The deep inhalations needed to produce big clouds will fill your body with CO and solid particulates which are far worse for you then highly levels of nicotine elver could be. The duration and strength of the flavour is a product of the flavouring compound used, it's amount and how exactly it's processed with the leaf which is rather complicated.

Nicotine levels can be vary low in a great many variety of leaf and basically all moassel and the stuff that pretends to be moassel that you can easily get in the states has very mild, low nicotine leaf used as it's stock. Washing and other means of processing reduce nicotine to trace levels that are for all practical purposes nicotine free.

The problem with heavily processing the leaf is that you lose all of the essential oils which provide taste as well as the nicotine. Decent tobacco doesn't taste like cigarettes and to assume that tobacco tastes equals cigarettes is like saying that all meat tastes like spam. Anyone that knows anything about tobacco understands that literally hundreds of of different tastes are present in various types of leaf and that fermentation/curing of the leaf can make for infinitely complicated varieties of flavours that can't be found anywhere else in nature or even in a laboratory.

Lastly, how much of a "buzz" you get from nicotine is more about how, rather then what you you smoke. Even an ultra low nicotine faux moassel will get you "buzzed" if you hoover it for several hours. Conversely, a super strong jurak will do absolutely nothing in terms of "buzz" if you smoke it slowly and avoid inhaling by treating like a great cigar.

Personally, I think where the shisha is made has some impact too.
