Most drug stores should have it (although none in my town did).
I finally found some at the local health food store.

Health Food store. Ask the really cool gay guy with the blond spiked hair, he'll find it in about 2.5 seconds flat.

What is the difference between regular glycerin and veggie glycerin. I just used regular glycerin with my shish. I hope that was ok, if not then OOPS lol.

I guess some glycerin comes from animals. I doubt it matters THAT much though.

I have used black strap molasses, and honey, to restore dried shisha, it works fairly well.

mollasses and honey work well but will turn your moassell into a solid rock after smoking for a while.I'm not aware of the differnce between animal or vegetable glycerin, but if given the choice,...well, it's a no brainer! You can get vegetable glycerin at whole foods or most other overpriced organic markets or health food stores.

Lol those places are rediculous. I can get a super healthy granola bar for like 20 bucks hoooray! I bought a cheap little bottle of animal glycerin? lol for like 3-4 bucks I can't remember the exact price. I am pretty thrifty so I will go with whatever is cheaper.

Glycerol can be derived from animal and vegetable fats as well as synthesis. Synthesis was the increasingly more common way of obtaining it until biodiesel became popular, which yields a significant amount of glycerol as a byproduct. Falling prices for the commodity hints at supply being abundant due to these factors and thus I expect it is unlikely that producers have to resort to the saponification of animal fats to create it. Regardless, glycerol as a compound will be identical no matter the method of its manufacture and as such will not yield an objective difference for our purposes either way.

There is a large quantity of food-grade vegetable glycerine at the very reasonable price of $7.

There's not really any difference in animal or plant glycerin. It is a by-product of candle and soap making. Glycerin is just a component of animal/plant fat.

We regard vegetables as cleaner and healthier than something which is an "animal byproduct," a term that is loathsome for most Western sensibilities. However, what you are describing is purely perceptual. The term "glycol" defines a specific chemical compound; if there were to be any difference, even if it were a difference of just one element, it would no longer be glycol at all. Therefore, glycol is glycol is glycol.

It's a moot point anyway, since as I stated it doesn't appear animals are commonly used as a source for the compound anymore in light of the abundance of waste glycol thanks to biodiesel. That option is both cheaper and appeals to our love for cute, fuzzy things; there would be no reason to use animal-derived glycol. I would expect a container that says "glycerine" on it and a container that says "vegetable glycerine" on it to contain glycol from the same source.

<p>That's when you walk around the place asking people if they want to sign a petition to ban dihydrogen monoxide.
