Default PimpYourHookah order help

Whatsup guys, new to the forum, not to hookah shmoooking. I just ordered a MZ Perpetual River from PYH and I haven't received anything beyond a membership confirmation email when I registered. Since ordering, my mouth waters every time I think about all my new stuff mmmm shisha.

I've tried calling and the operator (do they share offices with Starbuzz??) just tells me that he rarely comes into the office these days, but she'll leave him my message. I've tried the online form on the website, but I'm not sure if it actually goes through since the website is suuper slow. <-unless thats just my intermittent comcast connection sucking a big one

I'd just like to know it's actually on its way and my money didn't get sucked into a black hole of the hookah gods, lost forever. A tracking number would be nice too. Anyone know any better ways to contact this guy?

O yea, - I also ordered an nammor hose, some coals, a charcoal holder, shisha, and a funnel bowl from hookah-shisha. MMMM. Just the hookah from PYH - does anything come with it? or just the basic bowl and a cheap starter hose I assume.

Prepare for the wait. Some people wait 3 weeks at a time before they even here a word from him. Just keep trying to get through to him, and maybe you will get lucky and speak to him yourself. If you wait too long and they charge your card talk to your bank get your money back and take your business elsewhere.

i havnt heard from billy in a long time! last time i went there i brought him some hawaiian bbq food to thank him for getting me a KM on such short notice. billy works for starbuzz. pimp your hookah is his own personal business.

I waited forever on Bilal and he blamed the tardiness on the shipping company. UPS has always been good before and there is no way UPS made the package 3 weeks in transit. I would go ahead and get your money back and try somewhere else. It's just not worth dealing with a business that has bad customer service. There's alot of people out there like John from ******* hookah that work hard to make the customer happy. He's earned it, and you know that when he tells you it has been shipped that you can rely on the information.

haha thanks for the kind words ... truth be told, I called Bilal to see how he was doing and what was up!?
He is going through some tough times and asked me to gather the e-mails of the couple people with outstanding orders, so he could take care of it ..

I wouldn't normally do that, but I wanted to see if I could help out both sides if I could. Hopefully everything will be resolved quickly. I hate to see Members without their orders, and I hate to see PYH downfall during tough times.

All things considered, you may want to hold off on ordering until Sam can get the skinny on what's going on w/PYH. We don't want to see this thread again in 2 weeks.

I agree with abu. Wait out the storm and then if you feel it is time to order go right on ahead. It is better to play it safe and end up happy then just go all out and end up rather disappointed.

I third this, It angers and pains me to see the past couple of HP members talk complete shit about PYH, when it is a good company, even if things are slow. And even Sam said it's a rough time for Billy. So dont be so hard on the guy. Things will get straightened out and hopefully everything will go back to normal.

And if you believe what im saying is all a bunch of hot air, look at the vendor reviews, that is what they are there for

PYH has been a reputable vendor for a long time now and we understand billy is having some issues and we wish him the best, but folks do have legitimate concerns when they are placing orders and not recieving there products or anything for that matter. In the past, PYH has shut down the website for vacation, perhaps this may have been a good time to do the same.

I don't want to sound harsh but I ran a very succesfull business for 6 years and you can't afford to let personal issues affect how you run things. He should either suspend trading until he sorts himself out or pay someone else to take over temporarily. Having an online store that doesn't even respond to emails is a big no no.

I'm with him, I don't want to be a dick but I tired making ONE order from PYH, i was told that i would be gotten back to - that was last summer. I haven't heard a damn thing about that order since then.

I was later informed that reason being more then likely it was because my order was to small.

If Bilal is having a hard time, i wish him all the best, we're all here for him and will do what we can if there is anything we can do - ya know?
But this isn't really a new issue.

Bilal, keep your head up!

Damn. First off- love the whole forum steppin up. I'm not new to net forums, and this speed and volume of response is rare so say the least. You guys rock, thank you. I really appreciate it.

They charged my card already. I talked to my cc co. a few days ago after delving into the PYH rep a little more and finding some serious concerns. It was already pending at the time, so pretty much my only response now would be to file a dispute it if doesn't show. I use USAA and they've been absolutely top notch in every issue I've ever had, so I'm not terribly concerned about getting ripped off.

Sambooka, you're the man -complete selfless act. Thank you. You have a PM.

While I'm probably the last person warranted to comment on his business practices, I agree personal issues are no excuse for poor performance and neglect. [edit: most importantly, do NOT have an automatic order payment withdrawl system in place when you cannot supply the product in a timely fashion] We are all human and capable of making mistakes, but it sounds like from the grantedly little I know about his situation that he's simply in over his head.

I'll keep you guys updated on the happenings

So are you saying people having problems with any vendor are not allowed to speak against them?

i agree with both sides.. if u got some personal problems its ok every1 has crap on their plate.. just get it aside asap you know if he doesnt then he can loose his business then again if its this serious that he cant even get orders ready give the guy a break.. order somewhere else or wait.. w.e i order from John at ************* anyway.. =P

no you can say all the shit you want about vendors. before billy left awhile to move to his new shop and whatnot he was one of the best, just like john over at *******. and now lately all youve heard is complaining and shit about him. its not cool.

its a lot like me with HC, i pretty much refuse to order from them because they have terrible CS and now im stuck with a km stem thats got holes everywhere and they refused to replace the vase, all a month within ordering it. but others have been fortunate

I think what a lot of people forget, fail to see, or don't know is that many of the best, most personally involved vendors in this forum are NOT as big as H-S, HC, SS or HH. They are not huge companies with tons of service and sales reps. They come onto this site and personally relay information to us, either their opinions, thoughts, concerns, or just to talk. While PYH is one of the larger companies, Billy himself is very involved on a personal level with most of the business dealings and what's going on here. When he has a personal problem, his business suffers, but he still gets orders out, eventually. I've had problems with the larger companies many more times then the smaller vendors.

Basically what I'm trying to say is that the smaller vendors are people too. Take for example NazarHookah. Mahir won't be around from June 21 til like the 29th for personal reasons, so he's shutting his shop down.
When the owner(s) are dealing with something, Customer service may suffer, but since they are small and so personal, eventually they can make it all right, plus some.

I have not ordered from PYH, BUT I would like to give my $0.02 on the matter...

although Billy is having issues, and I understand shit happens, a mass email explaining the situation (doesn't even have to be in detail) is better than leaving everyone up in the air. Although he has come here and clarified the situation, I think ppl should be a little more patient. I am sure he will make things right

Same here, I just got my shipping confirmation two days ago for an order placed may 20th. and for usps to louisiana, I'll get my order close to almost one month after my order.

i just got my order status changed to shipped too. PhilipHand, do you know if it's shipped through usps? On my order it says UPS.
