Default Need Help/Tips!

Ok, i've got a 27'' espresso right, i've been setting it up right (youtube videos) and it does smoke, butttt i can't get clouds! i know w/ a 27'' you should get a pretty nice cloud but my smoke isnt as big/thick as the ones i see others blow out. i pack my bowl not too tight, and there is a gap between the foil & shisha, the quicklite coals are workin like theyre suppose too but im just not satisfied w/ the smoke. im sure theres a step i'm missing or i'm doing something wrong. now, i thought about getting another hose w/ a wider end/tip but i think i dont need to just yet bc i just gotta find out what i need to do. ive tried AF/Nakhla/SB & Laylina, i get the same size smoke. if you look at my avatar, thats probably the biggest cloud i've gotten so far w/ it and it looks like nothing! please, anyone, help me step by step on how to set it up.

is the setup airtight a good way to check is to cover the top without shisha in and inhale through the hose you shouldn't get any air if you do you may have a leak in your setup.

are you using enough coals?
keep adding coal till you get the smoke you want.
thats if everything is air tight and properly set up

yeah coals work better when around the edge.. you dont want heat directly in the middle.. and also.. make sure ur coals are well ashed at all times.. can also be the tobacco.. what brand and flavor are you smoking..

nakhala is known for thin smoke from what I understand, but I dont know much about layalina or w/e, my guess is your rig isnt air tight.

What kind of hoses are you using? That can be a limiting factor as well.

Also, try packing your shisha a little higher just so the foil doesn't touch it, and see what that does for you.

Oh, if your using an egyptian bowl do this...

Pack the shisha pretty well, but still so its not touching the foil.

Then, place 1.5 quicklites broken up in half around the VERY outer edge of the bowl and throw a windcover on it, and it should work great.

If not, you might have a leak and make sure you thumb the other hoses if its a multi hosed model.

do the whole air tight process.... check to make sure the hose is airtight.
then check if the stem and base are, then check if the bowl stem and base are, then add the hose and do a final check.
if thats all good, then try packing the shisha higher then you normally would (so its level with the top of the bowl) place the coals in the middle til it gets going, then move them to the outer edges. move them in more if the smoke gets to thin and less flavor ful..

Put on another coal...Maybe you don't have a lot of heat on the bowl.

Also, make sure your QLs are glowing red ALL around and ashed over b4 you put them on the bowl

+1.
couldn't have said it better myself.
More heat...adding a windcover could be beneficial too.
