Default charcoal

so tonight i was lighting up charcoals for the grill not the hookah and it got me thinking can you use grill charcoals on hookahs? i dont think there is any difference but im not sure. but i have a huge bag of charcoal for the grill and it would save much money to just use those on the hookah

thats a big no no. theres tons of chemicals that could kill u if u inhaled that

ok clarification, you can use natural bbq coals, not the briquettes but pure normal charcoal is a go.

charcoal by definition is just wood that is charred/ burned in lack of o2, briquettes are charred compressed dust and crap

Are you talking briquettes or lump hardwood?

Anything that is not natural hard wood is a bad idea. CO kills.

This topic comes up from time to time. You can use natural hardwood lump coal, but not briquettes. There are several reasonably priced great coals on the market. There really is no reason to use anything other than coals made for hookah. Cutting corners here could be dangerous.
