Default Shishavac

I found this off askmen.com in tech gadget of the day

www.shishavac.com

I'm on the website and everything looks pretty amazing except for the price. Thoughts on it?

It looks pretty cool for the most part, mainly for the coal starter. The price is way steep though, I think I will stick to my ten dollar hot plate lol. I have a washable hose, and starting my pipe isn't even a little hard. This is really looks like a device cafes would mostly benefit from.

Looks pretty neat! But, what it is made for is totally useless

Hah all it does is clean out the stem and hose (from the look of the pics). And it also just fires up the coals

Hell, I do all of this for less than $1 each clean

I don't see how this would be of use to lounges.

Every lounge in Anaheim already uses shitty mequite coals that give off a terrible taste (that's for another thread, though), so to be able to light a large amount of coals using the "Shishavac" would be too time-consuming and overall, inefficient.

If it was cheaper or if I had enough money to throw it around for stuff I'd get one. I enjoy Ooh Ahh factors when people come to smoke hookah.. each one is one more to our community lol. Maybe it's just me lol.

A starter/intake valuve seems most convenient to me, though a couple breaths definatley takes over the price. I never enjoy waiting for it to start.. impatient.

Looks like a nice piece for a millionaire shisha smoker to have. Not for me, to say the least.

Im buying it Im preordering it for my Bday... I dont know why yall are judging it because of the price. Expensive Yes! but think about it. the fact that you can blow dry your hose and stem does help because all that water left in your stem is what causes it too rust so I think thats pretty nifty but hey everyone has their own opinion and you can spend your money how you please but Im gonna invest in one also because im extremely lazy lol

seems like a box fan and a funnel would blow dry your hookah and really isnt the clean up and preperation a part of the whole experience?

healthier, more fulfilling smoke
That's really the only thing that stood out from the intro paragraph. If something is less damaging that does not make it healthier. It just comes across as luxury label nutrisionism gobbledygook to me. I think it looks like a fancy cappuccino machine with a matching price point. While a drying function is nice, I have an air compressor and a wet vac, I surmise that if the target demo are shops or lounges they would have comparable effective apparatus doing the job already for 1/3 of the cost.

Still if you have the cash and it performs as described, it would certainly be a luxe item to have about.

That is ridiculous. For like twenty bucks you can get yourself a single coil burner and a good inflator pump for an air mattress. You can like cup the mouth tip at the intake.

Besides I figured out how to get great pulls by the second or third hit and I have a blowtorch. So this thing is further useless!

i think it could help lounges cleaning hoses and rigs some but not 250 worth of help.

washable hose, hot plate, and a little patience and a touch of work fits this. and hell hookah isnt about being fast its about relaxing and slowing down. this takes away half the point

now if i had the cash i might buy it for s's and g's but ya that aint gona happen for a while

Well ya know this looks like the start of a whole new market/idea at least. If it is even remotely successful, than that will lead other companies to develop cool stuff for the "narghile enthusiast", hopefully at a lower price.

I could see these being good for lounge use but at home just seems impractical...especially for the price.
