Exclamation First time Hookah Buyer KM vs Mya

I am here asking for some help guys.

I have a friend whose hookahs I have smoked from a few times, and I want to go ahead and buy my own. Note: Friend is unaware of KM Hookahs, so I will not rely on his advice. When I described the "tray rattle" KM got dished, even with explanation of how it is part of the uniqueness of owning a KM. My main reason for the Mya QT route is $$$, has nothing to do with the rattle. Please read through my whole post before commenting.

Here are the accessories I will be buying:

1 - Large Nammor Hose
1 - Tangiers Medium Phunnel
1 - MNH Scallis Glass Phunnel Bowl Mod
1 - Tangiers F-Line Kashmir 9
1 - Romman Apple
1 - Romman Berry Breeze
-- Possibility of MNH Tangiers Glass Screen, if you think it is any good
1 Kilo Exotica Finger Coals
(The free coals that come with the hookah are not listed)

Discussion on the Hookah I will buy:
Torn between a
Mya QT (Low investment, easy to clean, portable)
or
KM ~22 - ~ 36 Inch (Really wanted a tri-metal, but none in usa now that I can see)

So the advice I am looking for basically is... Am I making a bad choice for my first hookah going with the Mya QT? Should I upgrade to a bambino instead? Or go all the way straight to the KM?

I am hesitant to jump into a KM right off the bat, because it seems cleaning it in the bathtub would be a good deal of extra effort, also I see the hookah making some amount of travel, and want one to hike with sometimes. If I start with a Mya there is a good chance I will be buying a taller hookah (IE KM) within my first year of ownership, provided I fall in love and smoke it often, take care of it, etc...

Also any advice/commentary on my accessories selection is welcome. I am open to suggestions for a additonal shisha, discussion on the glass screen.

My vendors are HookahShisha for the hookah, coals, bowl, hose and romman... And MNH for the scali mod & tangiers f-line.

Help fill me in if I have missed anything I need to be considering.

Thanks for the Cronic Advice...

I just found quite a few tri metals on hookah company and now I have a wide selection.

I still would like additonal input, but my selections are pretty much limited to a mya qt/bambino/comprable price OR the KM tri-metal series

https://www.101highway.com/hookahcom...nt%3Dfirefox-a

Click the link, or search hookahcompany for tri metal to see the selection of KM's Please help with deciding which KM in a tri metal setup would be the best. Also why should I chose a KM over a portable Mya? (Just wanting to see what people have to say)

My opinion is that if you are going to have one rig, make it a good one.
I have a bambino and swear by it, but am now thinking that I want one final KM to round out my collection. Bambinos and QT's sell because they are highly portable, but they do not smoke as well as a KM. Personally, I would give John a call @ ******* and he will actually make a recommendation for you based on what your needs are.

Neither...I prefer my Nour Syrians over my KM, but that's just me. I own a Bambino as well and I disagree with KingBoyB. They can smoke right up there with any KM or Nour Syrian. To sum it up, KM or Nour though. They are both top shelf

Now a first time owner...
I think I got everything I needed to get started will into the deal.

Still welcome anyone that wants to post, even if it is to lament my choice.
I figure I can always get a KM, because I wouldn't want to travel with one. Plus it is hiking and camping season where I am now.

I should have my hookah in the house by friday night or monday morning

If you want to travel, you want something sturdy, durable, and that will still be aesthetically pleasing. It shouldnt be too big, but should be able to fit in a bag.

If this is so, check out Nours.

Again thanks for the help. I posted my order in this thread above, before I went to work. Greg @ hookah-shisha helped me, and I did claim the discount.

As to mistakes I may have made choosing my shisha, I can only hope I learn from them. Perhaps the vortex will serve me well, or as others have commented I may find myself buying a plain phunnel. I mainly got the vortex as a money saver, because I otherwise would have bought a tangiers phunnel, a scalli mod, and a glass screen. So cost wise I saved a few there. Plus I've always got the mya bowl around, should the vortex inadvertenly annoy me to the depths of insanity.

I should have my order friday or monday, in either case I will propbably not post about it until monday (I am going out of town, hopefully with a hookah)

I am excited to be well on my way to smoking a hookah this time of night, instead of smoking a handful of cigs.

hey man, good choice. I have a KM Zahirah and it has the rumble but no tray rattle so keep in mind that "smaller" KMs may perform differently in that regard. At least in my experience. I am planning to get a QT in the next few days though. I'd like something that smokes well (my friend has a bambino and I love it) but is more portable and can be kept on a desk or endtable. I really don't want to lug my KM around all over when I bring it around. Also I have future plans for a sweet QT stand of sorts.

Sounds like we have the same game plan you just reversed it from mine.

Enjoy the pipe, and with the AF DA all I can say is I hope you like anise (liquorice) If you want a great appley apple flavor try out AF golden eskandarandi apple - GREAT stuff.

From what you listed I don't see that you made any mistakes. If some say you made a mistake it's only because you didn't buy what they wanted you to buy. You bought what you wanted and you did good. In the end it's all about your likes, not everyone elses. Enjoy the MYA!

Well I do like licorice twizzlers. I want to get some nakhla mint, I am already starting to build a bigger shisha list for my next order.
About to put the ice trays in the freezer, so the ice will be ready. I plan on putting the ice in my magic blender and making a very runny slushy for my first session. Don't worry the magic blender can handle the ice cubes great. I am most excited about the SB Blue Mist / Myst That's the one flavor I haven't got some kind of negative comment about, and everybody seems to love. You've got to consider I am a cigarette smoker (1 pack a day) so the taste can't be THAT bad to me

SHIPPING UPDATE:
Both the UPS (Hookah-Shisa) and the FedEx (SaharaSmoke) are scheduled for delivery tommorow (they are only hours away from my distrubution center. So I SHOULD get it tommorow. Thing is in my building we don't get deliverys, we get notices, and then I get to drive to the airport to pickup my packages.

At this time any suggestions prudent for a person setting up a session for their first time would be prudent. I am not sure I will see my hookah buddy before the urge to test everything out wins out. All my setup is posted above in a earlier post, (Click to jump to post with order)

Don't bother with Romman, unless you tried it and liked it. I'd recommend Fumari Strawberry over romman's.

I'd also recommend a Mya for your first Hookah. KM's are nice but they're not good as your only hookah.
